Closing PayPal Account and Re-Opening?

For some reason, I want to close and re-open my paypal account. Can someone tell me if closing of account is instant? and if I can create account with same information right after closing?

Well, a paypal account is never officially closed as you cannot reuse any of the email, credit card or bank account which was previously used.

You should work with paypal to resolve any issues with the current account as this is a better way. If they find out about this new account, it may land you into problems if there is unresolved issues with the first account.

 

Account closure is instant. However, do not re-open your account if you're closing it due to some sort or "Disputes" etc.

 

nah I disagree with you eddy cause my paypal was closed and I used the same email to open another on


it's possible to closed and reopen a paypal account just call them on toll free number for closing then create another one

I'm not sure if you can use the same bank account and credit card but I'm sure you can use the same email

I guess we can add the card or account if we'd remove it before the account is closed. Not sure, though, but you may try this out as well and let us know of the outcome.

 

Just to update. I tried closing account but system was not letting me .. it looped me again and again to same are you sure you want to close page.

Since it was a fresh account, with no CC or Bank account attached .. I left it as-is and created new one.

And by the way, the reason due to which I wanted to create account was some error in last name.
