Clone scripts ? YES OR NO?

Are clone scripts legal ? The fb script the eby script ,if there are modified will the user be prosecuted?

 

Well, unless you steal part of the original code and or/images, I don't think there should be a problem.

 

Usually clone scripts just try to provide same functionality but are done by other developers and results are never the same. Unless some functionality is patented there should be no issues with cloning.

There are multiple products doing the same thing and not necessary clones. There are multiple brands selling bottled water, cars, smartphones. Products may be similar and have same purposes but cloning up to copyright issues is more than that.

 

I think I would stay away from clone stuff. You are pretty much taking someone elses idea then cloning it for your own use.

 

Idea can't be patented. There is no issue with using clones.

Usually "clone" scripts are not clones but alternate solutions for common demands.

 

I've used clone scripts in the past and it did'nt work out well for me I got alot of critics from my users complaining I was copying another site so I ditched the script ad bought a decent none clone script.

 

As long as it's not an exact rip, otherwise that's bad.

Clone scripts are legal however.

you don't want to clone something exactly it too cheap and you'll never get anywhere you may rather be interested in learning from other tools and functions but concerning the you tube clone scripts you wont have any issues using those they just reproducing basic functionality
