Cloaking Hoplink or Affiliate links

    Thanks for the link. Nice reading on that blog.

    Well, I certainly knew and have used php redirection on affiliate links but didn't know how to do the .htaccess

    Now, it's clear that those ways are good to protect and hide your affilaite links from people that could try to bypass them.
    But speaking on SEO terms, wich one is the best method?
    Would Google penalize rank for using one of those methods?
    Do they help on rank?

    I've never heard of offto, but it seems really nice. I should start using it; as of now, I haven't been cloaking affiliate links, but maybe I'll do better with it.

    I don't think .htaccess necessarily helps with ranking but I haven't heard of it hurting anything either.
