I have created a cloak page using this method shown in http://www.jamesshuggins.com/h/web1/...nk_cloaker.htm , i followed the method and cloaked my affiliate link (clickbank) and saved it on the notepad , then i upload to my own website , this will become : myowndomain/name-of-vendor-site.html This will solve the problem of competing directly with my competitors , and also avoid bidding war with them as Google allow only 1 ads for the same url to display (who got the higher bids or quality score will win) . When someone click on my ads (as mentioned above) , it will still go directly to the vendor's site , but i am just wondering , is it against Google's TOS ? is this consider re-directing ? I need to confirm the answer first before i run my ads , anyone can advise me ,Thanks in advance . Vincent
From their TOS: Affiliate Policy We allow affiliates to use AdWords advertising. Please note that we'll only display one ad for affiliates and parent companies sharing the same Display URL per search query. We also monitor and don't allow the following: Redirect URLs: Ads that contain Display URLs that automatically redirect to the parent company. Bridge Pages: Ads for webpages that act as an intermediary, whose sole purpose is to link or redirect traffic to the parent company. Framing: Ads for webpages that replicate the look and feel of a parent site. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- https://adwords.google.com/select/guidelines.html
In other words, you can cloak the link, but don't automatically redirect. Basically the customer has to click on an ad, go to your landing page, then click again to go to the parent company. The second click can be "Cloaked". I use asp.net to do this so that there is absolutely no URL to be seen anywhere in my HTML.
