Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton criticized the Miserable Bush administration's response to Hurricane Katrina and pledged Saturday to funnel more federal aid to the still-recovering Gulf Coast if elected.

Speaking to the National Conference of Black Mayors, Clinton and Sen. Sen. Barack Obama both took President Bush to task, although Obama focused mostly on the Iraq war and Clinton on domestic issues.

Clinton and Obama are leading the pack in early polls measuring the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

That's the only thing they ever do - send more money. If somebody chooses to live below water level in area prone to hurricanes, blame the taxpayer and raise taxes.

Oh no, freaking liberals don't like Republicans -- this is news? Lame.

Of course, what is even more lame is that they are both promising people taxpayer money to buy their votes.

"Vote for me, I'll take money from other people and give it to you."

    What assholes.

Is it really the federal govt's job to tell people to get out of the way of one of the strongest hurricanes that we have ever seen? Or is it common sense? But then again, those that love to bash the bush administration will blame everything on him...regardless of how idiot and stupid it really is.

Thanks commando's, because of you, my unborn child seems very intelligent.

bush didn't do much to help the katrina situation, but it's not like it's entirely his fault.

it's just a typical bush administration handling of an event...not great..not good.. just below average. As a republican, I'm pretty sick of bush as well. not just the liberals hate him..i hate him too

If my house were destroyed, the Federal government would do nothing. If your house were destroyed, the Federal government would do nothing.

Yet in Louisiana, the politicos sensed that they could buy votes by spending your and my tax dollars on a bunch of morons who will vote for anyone who promises to take care of them.

I refuse to become one of those people. I want the federal government to keep its filthy hands off of me. I don't want its help, I don't want its guidance, I don't want its advice, I don't want its ridiculous tax burden.

It's my children that I worry about. I'm not sure how I can raise kids as strong individuals in this society. It's like the whole deck is stacked against them -- weakness is being shoved down their throats by an overbearing government bureaucracy.

Worse, although we don't let commandos vote in our country, there are plenty of idiots like him who actually live in the United States. These are the inevitable result of the breakdown of our education system several decades ago. We stopped teaching our children to be strong, independent, and successful. Instead, our schools now teach our children to be quiet, conform, and fit in.

We're creating a society which is not vigorous enough to defend itself against radical Islam, because each individual component of the society is weak and suffers from a lack of self-awareness and self-value.

If it weren't for our vast rural landscape where parents with traditional values have covered for the complete failure of the K-12 educational system, this country would have fallen apart after 9/11.
