I have a dedicated server and want to host some people on it. I'm selling unlimited for $40 for a full year but I can't get any clients.

    Suggest ways please...

    Hello,

Do you use a billing system such as WHMCS? I went onto Relhosting and all I was presented with was a page with an order email address.

What i would suggest is that you learn a little more about the web hosting industry and
how to a web hosting website should look like, I wrote an ebook about this, here is a direct download:
    http://marketingguard.com/how-to-start-a-hosting-company/dl/Ebook_Webhosting_Business.pdf

It includes everything you need to know
    • what billing systems you can use
    • how to market your hosting business
    • Where to get a website theme if you have no design experience
    • and more.....(lol)

If you need any other help you can reach me via PM or Skype: HackerHelge

It is not easy to get someone to use your web hosting service. Try promoting it at webhostingtalk

This is normal and during your first year of operations, more or less, you'll eventually start getting clients as long as you continue to promote and provide quality service. Barely anybody is willing to use a new host unless they are highly well regarded and referred to, too many variables that can happen causing customer hardship, so clients opt to go with more well-known hosts. Once you get a few clients, and a few positive reviews, things will flow better I'm sure.

BTW there is not 1 particular way to get clients, but many. Be active in webmaster forums, post offers/rebates on advertisement boards, get people talking about your service. It also helps to have a particular niche to target. Do SEO work on your site, make sure it looks professional. Have a proper TOS/AUP/privacy policy. Provide good support as this is what frequently triggers positive reviews.

As Ironcladservers said above there is not one way to get clients. I have been operating just over a year and have 50+ clients, but this is not from web hosting alone. The best thing I can advise you to do is offer design services included in the price to begin with, and then when you get more busy charge for it as a separate service.
