Hi everyone. I'm a freelance Digital Marketing consultant and have been working with a very difficult client. Basically a few months ago he started a new business, which consists of promoting a specific touristic location.

He is fanatic about social networks and wanted to start the business on some of them like a Blog, but using especially Facebook. I did that for him, but advised him that FB is not the golden chicken and not enough, he needs to have other things, like a website and things to offer and sell besides telling news about the location. Social media is just a complement!

Initially the FB group started attracting lots of people, but then stopped. And this was only through articles, news and videos about the location, he didn't have bookings or anything else available, like where to stay or services in the region.

He started panicking because no more people joined the group and page. He started a website meanwhile but still without any calls to action and now wants to double the number of people on FB. I told him that without calls to action and things to sell that will be extremelly difficult. People get bored after a while. It's like looking at a window on the street seeing a beautifull dress and then cannot enter the shop to buy or have instructions on how to do it. People get bored and move on to the next window.

I'm tempted to let go of this client. I know he's still doing partnerships with companies in the region in order to have things to sell and bookings, but he doesn't listen to what I say to him and then have these demands of double the users in 2 months. And I don't even have a budget to spend on a FB ad or Adwords whatsoever. And it seems he cares more about the number of members on FB that the traffic on the website!

Well, thanks for reading and I would really appreciate your advice on this one.
