Client asking me to guarantee the volume of conversions

    Hi there,

I have a client asking me to guarantee how many conversions he would get by the end of the month. Approximately, but he needs that so we can proceed.

However, I don't know how many conversions he would get by the end of the month so I'd use a tool or something like that to make sure I give him a round number of conversions I can guarantee. Is there any way to do this because he didn't start the campaign yet and he doesn't have any previous information about the market or even google ads campaign.

    What should I do?

Its completely depend on landing page and niche market competitions. If you are running Google ads campaign then you will get traffic according to your budget but if your landing page is good then conversion can be high or will be 0. So, i think you can say more better than us after check client landing page / website.

I understand. Is there any chance I can give the client a rough information about conversions? Even if I know the landing page is good and the website is perfect, how many conversions should I tell him and how can I calculate it? Can you list the process of doing the calculation?

You can't guarantee it, there are more factors involved than you can control but I understand your client may feel the need to request it. I'd drop this client if you can't make them see sense, they'll end up costing you money.

On the other hand you should have enough experience to be able to quantify the impact of your work and be able to give the client some expectations and detail what you'll do if your work falls short - a back up strategy. The client still pays for both bits of work but it shows you understand the risks and the work required.

So what's the alternative? Should I suggest them running ads for a probation period, like one month probation period and see what data we get? Is that possible? What else do you do when clients ask you questions similar to this?

For me, the answer is "NO". I can't guarantee the client for the conversions.

Certain products or services may require thorough
consideration, thus people may act after a long time
since they have clicked through the advertisement.

I prefer to avoid the customers,
    which ask such insane questions.

I agree with what others have said, it is impossible to guarantee real conversion.
Only guarantee on your own work or what you can control, like building # of backlinks, or setting up PPC campaign with 500 words in 5 days, etc.
You should not guarantee on something you cannot control.

Being an advertiser, our job is to pour quality/relevant traffic to a landing page. But conversions depends upon many factors like the product price, quality and many more. So it's admissble not to commit on conversions

You're right yet it is also a question of market and demand. I work with a small business based in latin america. Small Ads budget (around 400$/m) but each campaign has around 25% conversion rate. Though the LP is not so much framed
