Hello all, I was trying out Clicksor and my site is not Adult site. I have set the ads to serve non-adult content ONLY. At my first attempt I got prompted to load java app and I clicked yes. All of a sudden all my programs closed and I was hit with the malware "System Progressive Protection". It was terrifying really, No programs or web browsers will not open and it kept scanning my system and prompting me to buy a anti-virus software. So I boot into safe-mood with network and followed a removal process that took well over 3 hours! Secondly, I was trying the pop ad from Clicksor and it opened an interstitial ad that resulted in a Google warning. basically Google had flagged the domain to contain malware. I clicked take me there anyway because I wanted to test the ads that is coming from my site. I was taken to a porn site upon overriding the Google warning! So my question is, has anyone else here experience this situation with Clicksor ? Their eCPM seems to be good but I worry about the chances of these porn and malware ads that is coming through. The terrifying thing is all those incidents that happened to me happened within my first day of exposure to their ads. So i can only imagine the probability of something like this happening to one of my visitors. my account manager has asked for URL and time info regarding both ads and has promised to take those advertisers out of their system. However, they do not seem to have a solid system to filter these out. I would much appreciate if you can share some of your experience with them. Should I try them again?
Clicksor pays on time but their ads sometimes contain malware. If you need a adnetwork that pays on time and also has clean ads, Try my signature below. We give probably better rates then clicksor atm.
Clicksor has a very bad name,, The ad code can be packed with some really bad stuff... Back in the day they were a good network,, But not now...
I can not imagine publisher's risking their customer experience like that. I guess that speaks for the quality of publisher's in their platform? Any big sites using clicksor? Thanks for feedback so far.
@kxbuck65ST Did you attach some pics of interst? I can not see them and the rest of the post does not make any sense?
Only publisher whois goal is to earn some money do not care for their visitor, otherwise who does serious business and want keep their website clean, never prefer network which has viruses, malware, redirects
if you know the website which is using Clicksor ads, you should unpause adblock extension in Chrome or Firefox to visit.
A few years age, if a thread like this was started on DP, someone from Clicksor would call in and try to fix things... But they don't even bother now,, it gone that bad... No big sites us them now,, I remember back a good while ago, when ninjavideo was top of the heap and doing 2million+ hits a day, there were that many complaints, that they had to remove Clicksor ads from their site..
I put Clicksor code on my website once and the very first time I went to my home page after putting up the code up, my anti virus alerted me to a malware. Thankfully I got rid of the code before any visitors were subjected to Clicksors ads. They really are a terrible, terrible network. Avoid like the plague.
DO NOT USE CLICKSOR!!!! I'm only in this thread because I'm googling Clicksor complaints that are very recent. To make it relatively short, I'm just going to paste the letter I just sent to my hosting. I sent it 5 minutes before finding this thread.
See my earning above from clicksor for PopUnder ads, at first they were paying good but now a days they are giving horrible rate. I suggest not to use clicksor.
