The Adwords team just responded to my mail : I will not disclose more, of the e-mail because i don't know if i'm even allowed to disclose anything.
If I read it well, if you aren't interested, you must opt out. From my calculations, a small/medium advertiser won't earn anything significative, and that's in adwords credits.
Anybody got this email from Clicksettlement <clicksettlement@xmr3.com> about "Important Legal Notice Regarding Your Google AdWords Account"? "This court-ordered notice may affect your legal rights. Please read it carefully. If you purchased online advertising from Google between January 1, 2002 and the present, you are a class member in a class-action lawsuit in the Circuit Court of Miller County, Arkansas. This notice is to inform you of the Court’s certification of a class; the nature of the claims alleged; your right to participate in, or exclude yourself from, the class; a proposed settlement; and how you can claim an award of advertising credits under the settlement. Please read the attached notice. .......... " Is this some kind of joke or it is a real legal settlement against google?
all of us got this email. I don't know about a single adwords account that didn't receive this notification. it is very serious - just pay attention on the dates that is needed to take some action.
it is not a scam. Go the Inside Adwords - "The official source for information about AdWords" and read this post: http://adwords.blogspot.com/2006/05/lanes-gifts-v-google-settlement.html#links

I hope the court does not ban them from doing business in Arkansas. st12
This is the third time I was part of a "class" in the last 10 years. One class action had to do with the siding on my house at the time and they came out, replaced some siding and repainted the whole house. (the funny thing was they did flat instead of semi-gloss and I got them to do it again, so the house looked nice and new when I sold it) I recognized everything as being legit and was sent to the address that adwords is attached to, knowing that google would have to comply with the court they would send out the messages under a name created for the dispursments, etc...
Am I get this right? ---If I stay doing nothing. I will get some % out of $$$ from the settlement eventually. Then what does this mean :"You must certify in your claim form the percentage of your ads you believe were affected by click fraud."? How would I know the percentage of the fraud clicks? I'm sure there are a lot of fraud clicks. I even posted a thread a few months ago questioning about some very odd up and down clicks happened in a day, some of you said those huge clicks might came from my "evil competitors". I believe that's called "fraud clicks". How can I claim and prove that percentage?
