Hi, Im Michelle, a newbie. Ive promoting a few things throught Adcenter. The problem I have is I have the #'s of CTR. Meaning my CTR's is great, but not many sales. Is there anything I can do?

Right now my CTR avg is 3.54, with avg CPC 0.38. Is that good?
    Why not any sales?

    Hi mnlewis30,

There could be many factors in why the searchers are not making a purchase once they are on teh website.

May I suggest that you contact support and have them go over the account with you in hopes of locating the reason for this.

It could be something as simple as re wording the ad or it may require some Dynamic Implementation to better improve the relevancy.

The minimal CTR for performance is 1.00%. A CTR of 3.54% is doing well, however there is always a little room for improvement and our Support Team will be able to assist you in fine tuning the account.

Microsoft adCenter Support Phone Number: 1-800-518-5689
Hours of operation: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST, seven days a week

    Hope this helps!

I really think this depends on the niche. google and MSN are two different beasts. I can run identical ads on both networks, and msn won't convert like adwords does. I just think MSN users are a different breed of searchers.

If your having conversion problems, it's probably something about your landing page. Are you getting good conversions from other sources?

    1) MSN sucks. Its just a fact of life... google has about 50 times more traffic, and its far better vetted.
    2) if its using the MSN in context advertising services, stop it right now. if its using just search then your problem is....
    3) on site content, lack of calls to action on your landing pages, lack of overall design for your websites frontend, diffucult cart or whatever.

what you need to do is look at your site as a "consumer" would, and establish if you would buy from it, if not why not, and what you need to do to fix it will come naturally.

by the way almost irrespective of industry, a conversion rate approacing 1% is good.

if msn had the volume as google, things wouldnt be so bad. I just wish I knew what type of people are searching msn/live instead of google. What makes them different from each other.
