Clicks with No Payout?

Has anyone else ever gotten a click that resulted in no earnings?

I had a click yesterday on an ad that has its own channel (and didn't get any other clicks that day) which resulted in a grand total of 0 cents! Today the same ad earned well over a dollar for its first click of the day.

Any thoughts on why that might be? I know that the earnings for an ad space will vary greatly depending on time of day and what ads happen to be up at the moment...but does anyone know how I would get a click resulting in no earnings at all?

Not that I care about the 75 cents or whatever it would normally be...but I found it curious!

Maybe it was a PSA's click or some kind of invalid click detected by google...:/

It definitely wasn't me clicking on the ad...that's for sure! Unless I've developed a habit of sleep-walking into my office and clicking on adsense

I hadn't considered the PSA though...I suppose there's a chance that one could have been displayed for a little while and somebody actually clicked on it. Well, I'll gladly give up my small change if somebody actually went and donated something to Hurricane relief :)

I had nine clicks first thing this morning and no revenue. Never seen that happen before. Got a couple more click later and there was revenue. I wonder if they are testing something?

They were probably ads paid for by CPM.

Yup. Happened to me too. And sent the inquiry to goggle about it. No reply yet. I'm curious about how prompt normally they handle the feedback. Any idea, anyone? Thanks.

I good rule of thumb is to allow 5 business days for a response and if they dont reply shoot them another email.

They usually respond to any of my requests within 3 business days which I am happy with.
