Clicks That Don't Pay

Has Adsense started a charity click program where we "donate" clicks to the advertisers? That's the only reason I can see why I would get 4 clicks and no payment for those clicks.

    Anyone else had this problem?

Your site was probably displaying PSAs at the time

Recently I also had one click which didn't pay anything. But I don't think I should get PSA ads on that site. Does google even register PSAs in stats?

Bummer, it's my 6 year old real estate site. I don't know why it would show PSA's because all my pages have good content.

Oh well, I'll be sure to keep an eye on the page (the 4 came from the same page where some clicks are a $1.80 to $2+)

What real estate are we talking about?

If I were to see the pages in Australia (assuming that you're on the other side of the world) I may get a PSA if there's no appropriate advertisers down here.

You have the option to turn these off or on. Or, Google will show a blank space. I have them (PSA) turned on, and have seen the public service announcements on occasion. I'm not sure if the public ads count in your clicks or not.

Invalid clicks probably... I am pretty sure if for example somebody clicks on the link, then stops their browser, the click won't be counted but will show up in the stats.

Maybe the clicks were done by a person who must hav clicked ads on other sites already

yepp.. happening with me also. I heard that google is now filtering out invalid clicks instead of filtering out the publisher.

Well it's definately not PSA's. I'd forgotten that I always turn those off. I'd rather have the ad space blend with the back ground than to run PSA's.

I guess I'll chalk it up to bad clicks. Strange, it hasn't happened before nor since.

    Thanks for the advice though,

    Don

I have always found I get at least a cent for a click.

Remember, this could also be because Google detected click fraud.
