If my Adsense for contents info says I had 42 clicks but when I look at the individual channels I see 1 click does that mean someone was clicking excessively on my site and Adsense made a correction on the clicks?

I think it means you don't have channels for all your ads.
If it was click fraud you would have 42 clicks but a low amount of money from them.

All the clicks totaled .10 cents so i guess it was excessive clicking.

I just noticed this today as well. The first page shows 40 more clicks than when I add clicks for individual channels. I have all my sites in the allowed list and if these clicks were on other sites it should have shown me the IPs displaying my ads. Does anyone know if this is just an error or are these invalid clicks which are not shown?
