Clicks Increased but Not revenue

What could be the reason to have this happened. Today somehow I managed to observe my adsense account and I saw that the clicks were increased in few hours but not the revenue. Did this happen to anyone else?

Google must be running some process to update this, is the process delayed today? Please let me know if anyone observed this today or before?

look at your channel data. If the clicks come from low paying clicks, the increase of clicks does little to your overall earning

I dont think its possible without seeing the channel data (I have not added that). Because the revenue per click is less than $0.05 which I dont think is believable.

There are clicks below the 5cents you mentioned. The lowest that I know is 3cents. I believe this is due to the advertisers' bidded price

That sucks... lol... 1 cent for all those clicks... mine seems far better number then :p ... but now question is, I have seen 19 clicks and same revenue and after some time, 24 clicks but the revenue figure is same... now isn't it weird?

As a matter of fact, it is not. It all depends on the advertisers' bidded price. The higher they bid, the higher the value of clicks. Therefore, it depends on your visitors which advert they click on.

But does not it mean, those clicks had no price per click. If no revenue figure increased for 24 - 19 = 5 clicks? And it seems hard to believe that google giving them it for free.

It may also mean that some clicks are not recognised as valid by google.

I am pretty sure that Google's reports update the clicks, impressions and earnings at different points in time. You can't always be sure until the end of the day what you made for a certain set of clicks. In some cases I've seen my previous day balance change (go up) the next day even after my new day of stats had already started. So I am not sure if you are still having trouble, but give it a day and see if any earnings are reported.

    Good luck!

If you are clicking on your own ads those clicks will count but the earnings will be equal to 0. About 19/24 clicks and the same revenue... I have days were 50 clicks make less than 30 clicks... It depends in wich ads your users are clicking or how much that ad is paying...

I avoid clicking on my own ads. This may lead to discontinuation with adsense. But did anyone try to clicking on own ads, and still could find a way to make them fool.. I wonder if anyone.

if people could do it, and get away with it, and people found out how to emulate it, google would make AS much more selective and that would mean the chopping block for a good number of us.

don't cheat the system, you are only hurting the community, and you are more than likely to hurt yourself.

Whilst webmasters don't click their own ads, could it be that colleagues or friends who do click possesses the same ip address as the webmaster? This scenario is common in WiFi cafes and offices where proxies are used. This could constitute as an invalid click, hence zero cents.

Not necessarily. It is a given that many of us in the ISP biz NAT. I would imagine that Google is a bit more intelligent and looks at a multitude of things, ie., IP, netblock, http referrer, user agent, etc., etc..

Nevermind, I was just saying, I did not wish to click on my ads, but was just observing google's behavior and also curious about how it works.
