Hi, We all know that testing different positionings and formats of the Google ads is very important. So I created arround 5 chanells, with very clear names for them. One is called "linkunit" and is special for a linkunit I tried to display. So, I displayed "linkunit", was very unsatisfied with it, and removed it, so it should NEVER show on the website. The strange fact is that I still receive 1-2 clicks/day for "linkunit" What is this ?? Thanks
Find out the channel id for "linkunit" and then search for that id within all your pages. Some page(s) must still be using it unintentionally. If your web server runs on unix and you need help searching through all of your pages at once, PM me for commands.
My site is built in PHP and is very well organized. So I had a function named ads_linkunit() which was called ONCE AND ONLY ONCE in the site engine. When I decided to get rid of it, I commented the call of the function // ads_linkunit(); Code (markup): so I am 100% sure it does not appear in not a single page in the website...
There is always AdSense support team if you can't get it resolved... p.s. I wonder if somehow some of your users hit a cached version of your page (the version that has "linkunit" reference)
Someone could be viewing the cached versions of your pages in a search engine.... this has happened to me before
