On one of my sites I seem to have a high percentage of clicks coming from google images: Google itself sending about 22% and google.images about 20% of visitors for a total of 42%. Is this a bad thing would you say? Are people just searching for these images to rip them off? It's not as if the site is stuffed with pics. There is one main image per page. I know you can't compare oranges with lemons but does this seem too high a % coming from images?
Just watermark your images in the corner with your url, then if they steal it and use it, you get some benefit out of it anyway. (Yes, I know some people will remove it anyway by cropping but you would be surprised by how many use it anyway with the link)
Stealthy, every page is on a different type of the same topic , so there is no one string. If the site was about colour for example the strings might be, images of the colour red, blue colour pics. Yfs1, yes, I suppose I could do that. Thnx
I realise that watermarking is a good idea but I was more wondering about the percentage of visitors coming via images as opposed to coming via content. The images seemed so high that I am assuming something is off with the general content seo. On the other hand I have a first place position out of 1.6 mil so that's not bad. I just have to carry that success on through the site.
