I saw this morning yesterday I had few clicks - but no money. Those links can't be worth 0 - or can they be?
Ok they probably figured I clicked on them - I did. I did found the info useful - and was a bit lazy on walking Google way to reach the destination
Man you are awesome - quite a prediction regarding my future thread! Can you state the date (from your sig)? Thanks guys - I just wanted to make sure my hunch about invalid clicks. PS: Jack Butron - No pun intended!
Depends. How many times did you "test it out"? If you were obvious about it, I'll predict the end of the month that you reach $100. Adsense is cruel that way; they like to wait for webmasters to build up their account, working hard on the traffic, and then -- WAMMO, you're SOL.
I have had this happen occasionally, and it seems to be due to public service ads, those nasty buggers! But, I don't mind it too much, as it hasn't happened too frequently.
It's not public service ads, it is pay per impression ads. If they are clicked it doesn't matter, so they count the click but the ad is paid per 1000 impressions so you don't get any more for a click.
Yes, must be public service ads....or google's commission is going through the roof!! kumiko xo http://kumikosuzuki.blogspot.com
FreewayWebhost, SmartMoney, and kumiko83, Guys, he already admitted that he clicked the ads himself. That's why they were invalidated. Check his second reply here.
If Google detected that he clicked his own ads, they would have banned his account immediately, not just discounted his clicks, so my bet is that they were CPM ads.
If you have done nothing wrong, contact google adsense team, they will always be helpful towards sincere publishers.
Google has never made a policy of banning people "immediately" upon detection of click fraud. Their M.O. has always been to wait until the end of the month, and when you have a scheduled payment coming. And if they were CPM ads, as you continue to futilely assert, the OP would earn money by impressions, and that would show in the report (if just a couple of cents here and there) not show him a big fat ZERO. 'Nuff said.
