Clicks, but no money

    Hi. I'm new here.

I recently opened an adsense account and I get very few clicks. However, those few clicks don't add up any money.

I'm using vBulletin and running the new Firefox ad and the normal text ads in the footer.

    Prints XXX
    Clicks X
    CTR X,X%
    eCPM USD0,00
    Income USD0,00

[Edited details because I just re-read Adsense's ToS]

    Why is this happening?

Yesterday, I asked a friend to install Google Toolbar through my link (he uses it anyway, he had just formatted his Pc) and the click is there, but it also shows no money for it.

Any thoughts? I've searched the board for this but couldn't come up with good, representative keywords. I decided to hit the New Thread button. Sorry if this has already been asked and solved.

    Thanks!

I'm not using the Firefox ads, so I can't vouch for them, but if all your clicks are on those ads then you will not see any money. My understanding is that you only get paid when a person installs firefox for the first time from your link.

1st thing is that forums get lower CPC clicks in my view(If its a new forum).

Wait for a Week and see the results

Well I'm guessing this is only related to the Firfox Ads. You only get paid for them if:

    1) A person didn't previously have a version of Firefox installed
    2) The person downloads and install Firefox and the Google Toolbar after following your link.

Hi guys. Thanks for the replies.

Well, I know for a fact that at least one person clicked and installed Firefox with the toolbar. That should be a buck right there, and it isn't credited.

Adsense shows the Firefox clicks and the usual Adsense (text) clicks separately. I'm also showing some clicks in the regular text ads and there's no cash there either.

I am aware that forums are a crappy place to put the ads, and that clicks will be low, but people have clicked and I haven't been credited for those clicks.

My goal is not to live off Adsense, I just want it to help pay the VPS.

Did the person have a previous version of Firefox installed?

He had just formatted his computer, so I don't see how Google managed to know that he used it before.

The only thing I can think of is either:

    1. The ads that were clicked were CPM ads and you haven't shown them enough to actually get paid for them.

    2. G decided that the clicks were fraudulent and aren't going to pay you for them. This could be for any number of reasons...do you have lots of visitors from SE Asia?

We can only speculate. If you want an answer you should contact Google. It will take a few business days, but they're usually very helpful.

Sometimes click also bring nothing to me. But keep increasing your traffic. Do not care about the small amount click.

I don't have any visitors at all from SE Asia. I think that maybe it is that I haven't shown them enough, because I don't know how Google can flag down 1 single click.

I try to keep the traffic flowing and see what happens. Thanks!

There's too many reasons why no money was paid out. Maybe the user didn't install it straight from your link. Maybe he's lying to you. Maybe AdSense detected click-fraud (legit). Maybe AdSense has bugs (all software does). But to reassure you, I get a conversions almost everyday, so it is working.

It showed the conversion today. Only got 10 cents for it, I thought it was going to be like a buck or so.

    Anyway, apparently it's working.

    Thanks!

You shouldn't have repeated clicks from a static IP and you or your friends probably should not use a proxy server, just in case Google doesn't count those to filter out cheaters. Also if you login to Google Adsense from the same account your trying to credit from the same computer by clicking on the banner, its not going to work. Google uses cookies as well as IP analysis.

Nobody repeated clicks. I mean, the guy was doing a fresh install of everything. I certainly did not click on the ads.
