Clicks and page impressions don't match, can the Adsense code be hijacked?

I was looking on the Google Adsense forum and saw that some people were complaining that the page impressions shown in the Adsense report and those shown in other analytical engines did not match. The Adsense ones were always much much lower than the other. People were of the opinion that a new ad mached up but after a week they dropped off dramatically. Somebody mentioned that the Adsense code could have been hijacked by a third party but nobody seemed to take this up.

Is it possible that a baddie can hijack your code so that the click appears on his account and not yours?

Well me neither, but when you are on the adsense forum and somebody mentions it you start thinking.
