Hi, does anyone have any info on this article and it this info is still valid? Accidents happen Thursday, May 24, 2007 | 2:51:00 PM Labels: Program Policies As most of you know, our program policies state that publishers are not permitted to click on their own ads for any reason. For this reason, we've received many emails from publishers letting us know that they've accidentally clicked on their own ads. If you're one of these publishers, we truly appreciate the efforts you've made to monitor your account and keep it in good standing. However, we do understand that an accidental click may occur from time to time, so there's no need to contact us each instance this occurs. http://adsense.blogspot.com/2007/05/accidents-happen.html I clicked on one of my ads on accident, but did not contact Google about it, it was an accident and I tried to close the new page before it opened, but in any case, I wanted to see if those with some knowledge of this above article and have experience with own ad clicking could post some insight here. Thanks, Cheers!
I have clicked accidentally several times too. Never had a problem or had a complaint from Google. When they refer to webmasters clicking their own ads, it means lots of clicks...
OK, thanks for the insight. I have read all these stories on DP about click fraud and Google closing ADSense accounts because of it. I wanted to get some feedback from people who have self clicked and what the result was. Thanks again. Cheer!
Avoid clicking them at all costs. Once prolly nothing will happen. But once you piss Google off it will be something you will regret because Google will shut you down take all your money and never look back. lol
dont click your ads because if you do the mighty google will come for you one night and take you away.
It doesn't matter how many times you click, RPC matters and if you cheat google with over $100 with false clicks you WILL get banned.
I'm sure 90% of you guys here have clicked it by accident (I know I have) Don't worry about it, adsense knows that it was a mistake ...Â
