Clicking on ad then back after dissapointment

I visit some sites I like and after I'm done with reading content, I always look for some ads that offer something I like.

But when I click on ad, in many cases I find something else than I was looking for (something else than it was ad link text)

So I click "Back" button and continue to surf original site.

Does the original site get credit for that since I leave sponsor site immediately?

Yes, this is PPC and no wonder what you're going to do after that, when a click is done, its over, it will credited to publisher

Yep. Just make sure you aren't clicking ads on your own sites :)

I'm absolutely aware of that (If I did that, I wouldn't earn as low as I do: http://www.adsensechat.com/showthread.php?t=4888 )

I was just wondering am I doing those good sites a favor or whether they get nothing out of my click (or even penalties)...
    Thanks, I know now.

I think they do get credit for it, however, that sort of activity is probably what gets people smart priced, since the click is not 'converting' for the advertiser.

This is absolutely fine - the publisher earns a few cents, but if you're genuinely interested in the ad then there's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure Google have some clever way of factoring this into the pricing. Best not to stress over this too much. Some people think that the reverse happens - people become ad blind and reluctant to click ads if they know how the AdSense program works.
