1.Anybody know which of these sites below (or that you know of), protect their publishers from clickbombing? Google adsense, adbrite, bidvertiser, clicksor, chitika, oxado, kontera, clickbank, yahoo APT publisher program, etc

    2. How does everybody here @ digitalpoint, protect your site from clickbombers? Google prohibits 3rd party software. Are AdsenseClickLock, clickaider, asrep, etc. legal and don't go againest their TOS?

I think great ideas some of these sites should use to protect their publishers are....

    1. hiding the ad after every unique click (for 24 hours) (per visitor)
    2. or have a click count, every 24 hours (per visitor)
    etc.

And why hasn't Google come up with something to protect their publishers? It's been years since they've been around, and they're considered #1 when it comes to earning the most. Wouldn't it be nice? It would make us site-owners non paranoid, and not make us have to worry about it. *AND* it would stop evil, mean people who do it for fun.

Or have they come up with something ? (I only started visiting the digitalpoint forums again, so i'm not updated, heh)

as far as I know they don't have any software that protects the publishers. They just seem to worry about the advertisers paying, there will always be plenty of publishers waiting to make money so they don't worry about banning us.

    I see.

If there ever was a site, that protected their publishers 100% from clickbomers with methods above or something safe... i'm sure *SO* many people would flock over from whatever they're using (even adsense users) and go with that

I think these things will not possible as Advertising company give importance to Advertiser then us and they will never show their system how they trace these things so we will not get any information about clickbombing. Best thing for us that if we have found something this, just disable ads for 2-3 days!

I think these Advertising company should automatically banned those IPs who do this kind of activity!

As far as I know Google Adsense will not ban you if someone click bombs your ads. They have latest technologies to detect clicks. If someone click bombs your ads you can report it to Google.

The only protection I know of is not being an asshole, and staying out of the niches with a lot of competition. It's not fool proof, but it works for the most part.

When we report it to google, how do they check for it though?

excessive clicks from ONE ip? that would be a dead-giveaway that somebody is tryin to clickbomb ya
