just checked their "system log" and the archive, it really is unbelieveable how many problems they do experience. Either they need to work with better partners or give up trying to do it themselves and outsource stuff to people who know what they are doing.
I dont think they care about affiliates...its a dying network , will not survive against the new breed
I've bitched about this many times and I'll say this again, they should HAVE SENT emails to us affiliates informing us about the issues that they were having!!
Look - they are not going to tell us they had problems. Not in a million years. Why? Confidence - if we sense that they really are as small as we think then many of us would definitely think twice about promoting for them. Since their aff network is one of their main USPs, that would be suicidal...
I would agree with you, the internet is growing at a very fast rate and more companies are joining in. I would be really surprised if in the next few years there wouldnt be another company the size of clickbank around. Especially if you take in consideration that in the next years its estimated that the europe market will grow as much as the US. Hopefully, a "Real" clickbank alternative with a reliable system will emerge and clickbank will be something of the past
I'm sorry I have to disagree, because I think the lack of communication with us is exactly how they can drive us away from promoting for them & lose their customers. Look at all the CPA networks nowadays like Copeac, AzoogleAds and affiliate networks like Pepperjamnetwork, the reason they are able to grow so rapidly is because of their customer service. They take care of their affiliates and if there's any problems, they'll inform us, this creates TRUST, heck they even assign affiliate managers to service each & every affiliate/merchant. That's why you see more and more affiliate companies are moving into that direction and becoming more and more transparent with their system. ClickBank is the king in the digital products world, they know most small affiliates will have no choice and will still promote their products. That's why they get cocky.
I recieved a response from my inquiry as well, all they told me to do was insure I was using the correct hoplink...
Not to start an argument with you, but don't you find it funny that they completely defy your "business advice" and they're the king of the digital products world?
Ok sorry, I really meant one of the top self-published digital products affiliate networks. I admit I'm exaggerating a bit here.. but you get the point right?
I guess you missed my point, which is that they are a good business. They are the big boys of an industry. They don't follow your business advice and that's what they get, success. I know you think transparency is a good thing to have, but I sort of disagree to an extent. Transparency is nice, but there's something more important than that; solvency. The idea of transparency can bankrupt a business when there is a problem. Transparency rocks with little problems or when all systems are go. I don't know about you, but I want to at least know there's a check coming next week.
