Clickbank's New Categories Will Open More Possibilites For Better Niches.

I know that Clickbank is releasing a bunch of new categories in January. I think that this will help better niches arise and expand the world of affiliate marketing.

Vendors will be able to come out with some actual high quality products and still be able to tap into the huge amount of affiliates in the Clickbank system, because affiliates will be able to find these products.

This is just what I think and/or what I am hoping for. What do you think?

No. The new categories wont make a difference, it will still be the same old crap, just re-organized. Anyone who expects "high quality products" to appear on CB anytime soon clearly hasn't spend enough time working in this industry.

Well what I am saying is that someone can now come out with a product maybe about cooking or something (not saying a good niche just using an example) and it wont have to be hidden under 100 other products in some generic category like "home and family". Meaning that affiliates can find it and products like these can grow instead of the same rehashed garbage over and over again.

That's all it is, it will just help organize the many different product lines available through clickbank

I agree it will help with finding products to promote. There are so many times where I'll type in something such as: "poker guide" or whatever and I'll get results in the weight loss category or something else completely unrelated. I think CB is very poorly organized right now so this will help more vendors to get their stuff seen and sold but I don't think it will necessarily help with the quality of the products. A lot are still going to be crap.

    Personally,

I'd prefer "high selling" products over "high quality" any day.

But you are right... CB should really find a way to make their marketplace more dynamic. They have about 60 products dominating the first few pages of EVERY category, and for affiliates, that means limited choices.

There are a few decent products I have come across since taking CB seriously one month ago. However I would have to agree that just browsing their categories, 90% of products are shabby, to say the least. It's simply impossible for me to see how anyone would ever want to buy any of them.

I have come across some products which I believe to be really good products that would sell well in physical form as well. Unfortunately, the people behind them do not always invest properly in a landing page. I found such a guy who was very forthcoming in answering mails and I could tell he offered real value. Unfortunately his sales page is bland and boring, so I doubt many will ever buy his product.

I asked him about it and he told me his copywriter had told him it wouldn't matter and that his price of $97 was recommended by the copywriter who thought it would sell the same as for $47. This seems to be horrible advice considering the poor job the guy did on actually designing the sales page. I am promoting this product but do not have much faith. I would however consider buying it and revamping the sales page.

Most Clickbank products are overpriced because they sell on hype.
