And to the people who dont think CB can put a foot wrong, take a look at some massive threads at warrior forum and elsewhere where people are reporting the exact same problems. People who regularly earn hundreds and sometimes thousands per day from Clickbank are suddenly earning $0. Yes, IT IS clickbank's fault but they seem to be able to get away with outright fraud as there really is no proof on our part!
Yes I have looked on the warriors forums, but most of those posts are made from dudes that make stuff all from CB. Accusing CB of fraud is stupid in itself, wtf would they want to do that... Dude you have checked your rankings in the SERP?, PPC competition, your niche compeition???..... It can be lots of reasons why your sales might have stopped.... I'm absoluted amazed at how so quick affiliates are to point the finger and buy into the blame game!!
Why would they do it? How do we know they aren't running with our commissions? This is online, its not like an offline business or bank where everything is easy to track. There are shady networks out there, particularly in the CPA world and now clickbank seem to be following suit.
Don't be stupid dude, you're not related to infobookstore?? Why the hell would CB decide after becoming the no1 affiliate network to all of a sudden shave sales, they make millions per year why would they start shaving off the top?? Honestly mate its people like you that start ludicrious threads and conspiracies about shit like this, and bring in all the newbies that start thinking that its not their flawed marketing but CB ripping them off.
Yep I don't think they would steal commissions, they just would not start doing this in my opinion! However if there was a problem with credit card payments which have been discussed, or tracking of affiliate sales and all the other problems we see in the forums. If there really was a problem, would they tell us? Well I think the answer would be no as alot of publishers and affiliates would leave. Until there is solid proof that there is a problem nothing can be done. Also I must say that I tried testing buying a product as an affiliate and with no affiliate link and both times the sale went through fine. Try that and see what happens. All the best, Chris
I agree. I seriously doubt clickbank is shaving or stealing commissions, HOWEVER, credit card processing issues and tracking issues is where my....(and I'm sure most of us here).....frustration lies.
As far as Clickbank stealing, any publisher can easily check if that happens by tracking all the visitors. From my experience as a publisher I can say that Clickbank doesn't shave, it's not that hard to check if Clickbank shaves, and I doubt clickbank would go that way, because they would easily get caught and would face gruesome consequences. Furthermore, someone mentioned affiliates not getting commissions, i.e the publisher getting the full credit for the sale. IMO, this doesn't happen as well, I've had some products which had a larger amount of sales on a consisent daily basis, and the number of sales which had affiliates credited, were 90% or above, which tells us that the tracking is not screwed. However, there is something with Clickbank, maybe it's their risk-management system, which sometimes prevents the customer from making a purchase, this might be causing a decrease in sales. Also, the economy and other factors can also have something to do with this, as well as a variety of other factors.
I'm glad that there are other people that see it from where I am coming from and not just accuse me of being a CB apologise when in fact I am just trying to establish some common sense. Yes, there is no way CB would just start shaving sales, why would they?, why would they ruin their reputation and hardwork in building a successful business. All it is, is some affiliates are used to getting a certain amount of sales everyday, then all of a sudden it stops, they think - "wtf, whats going on??", then they see some thread like this and think - "It must be clickbank shaving sales coz quite afew others are saying it too", No-one likes zero sales days, neither do I, but to say they are stealing commissions is going alittle too far IMO! Like Ripped said, there's other factors to consider like the anti fraud system, the global economy ecetera..... Ask yourself this, if CB was shaving your sales, do you think they would be paying you on time as well? If they were dodgy they would probably not be paying us affiliates and I've always been paid on time which to me is very important and gives them tons of credibility. Well, I will no doubt incur the wrath of would-be CB haters and conspirators, all I say is - BRING IT ON!!
I just looked in my transactions report and yes the same thing with me after 5 april till 10 april no sales zero nada traffic 300-500 hops per day same traffic from 01.04.2009-05.04.2009 converted ~1:150 and got 16 sales after 10 april again suddenly all OK traffic converted ~1:150-200 and got 3-5 sales day. Last 2 days no sales 2200 hops
one more note when i could'nt bay one product from clickbank i asked to do that my brother with his credit cards he also could'nt error appeared: unable to make this transaction at this time. Of course my credit card is OK and my brother's too. I think problem is with their stupid risk management software and many many customers simply can't make purchase....
There have been way to many responses on this issue. it is kind of interesting tough. My sales are kind of picking up a little though still not as good as i would have wanted them to be.
There you go again, I think you need help. I have not accused CB of shaving, I have just given my experience relating to the risk management side of things, again not accusing of any wrong doing. You are the only one burying your head in the sand, not the rest of us. As it happens sales have picked up a little bit, but not to where they were and this time I didn't change account!
lol I'm not the one being dilussional dude, you see me making up theories and accusing CB coz of the mystery "Risk management system?", thats what I'm gettng at dude, and your speculation (coz that's what it is!) is causing others - Newbies, into believing this trash. Define "rest of us" mate, if you are refering to the DP forum I don't think so, there are plenty of people that share my opinion, I think you should take your fellow CB haters and conspirators and go visit Suppers blog, hes doing plenty of "burying his head in the sand" over there the poor guy lol.
