Anyways I know I had a sale few days ago for some odd reason it did not show on my Click Sales. I just started playing with clickbank a week ago as most of my time is being consumed to CJ. Anyone have similar problem with clickbank. How I know a sale has happened? My friend ended up buying the item and he msg me few days back saying it was the useless stuff ever i was promoting he wasted his money. He never asked for a refund he was telling me too much hassle to go for a refund etc. Anyways so yeah....
You probably didn't get credit for the sale. Your friend might have visited the product salespage through a different affiliate link before he made the purchase. The last affiliate link used before a sale gets credit for the sale.
Did you give him the right hoplink? Did affiliate=yourname appear on the order form? Does he have Spybot or something similar installed that blocks affiliate cookies? All possibilities when it comes to CB tracking.
Actually, there were many people on the forum who had a similar problem. As mentioned above, the reason might be in wrong affiliate link. He should have checked it before buying.
Clickbank is not a scam. But there are a lot of not so great products being sold through CB so it's no surprise that your friend reported that to you. But that really doesn't have anything to do with the whole CB system (except that they don't have very high standards for products - but I think that's good as one person's junk is another's treasure. It'd be hard for them to do a good quality control check that didn't filter out some good stuff.)
It may be a cookie issue, he must have visited another site and went right to the vendor's homepage through another affiliate link, which counts for 30 days.
Nope he ended up reading it from my blog and thought it was interested and purchased it just talked to him last night, strange eh ahh whatever
Clickbank do shave-off some sales from affiliates some times and over 90% products on CB are absolute junk.
