Every now and again I just laugh out loud at other marketers. Check out this dude's sales page. I gotta say, it could be a winner, but the photos and small headline above it made me crack up in laughter! http://www.iwillsurvive2012.com I wonder if the guy on the left has any idea he is making money for other people! Any other funnies you can share?
Yeah but funny or not, like you said, the guy might have a winner here. An actual 2012 survival guide -- instead of just selling 2012 "information" like all the rest of them.
Survive 2012....act exactly how you did in 2011 and will act in 2013 That will be $37 off all of you please
I dont think that page is THAT bad. I like the 2 photos on top What makes me lol is the typical "as seen on TV" picture on almost every sales page. Not only because 99% of the products were never really featured on TV but also because its trying to say that the product is something amazing just because it was "seen on TV!!!". As if everything in TV was good and true
If 2012 happens there is only the wealthy 1% who odds are will make it through it. Other than that, I really could care less. Just like when the 2000 quacks came running and thinking the end was coming. There is alot of money in marketing to the crazies. Can't wait for the guide of "the rapture is coming be prepared" and the HUGE base you could market that to lol.
First of all this catastrophe theory has been aired at frequent intervals. The Mayan claendar, The chinese predictions so on and so forth. We have crossed 2000 and many other 'hurdles' .It has become a fashion to scare people and (make money ??) bring out new theories. In 2012 nothing is going to happen here and people would walk on earth as usual.Iam baffled by the gullible lot who spend money on this garbage theory. Worst come worst ,If the earth is going to perish none of us could give a support to it and we would gladly accept the fact. After all we have not given any guarantee for anyone that we would live to see the next centuary!! I am reminded of the words of wisdom of one of the sages "The one who created this universe, knows better how to run the same" and these little headed need not break their head day and night.Instead let them concentrate on something productive and useful to the ailing society.
Some people may be really tempted to buy the product.. And the reason is that landing page can really influence someone to do so, making them feel nervous, scared of what's going to be happening in 2012. I personally see the whole story as a new marketing tool. 2012 is just another money maker. Al.
People are so vapid lol...... Lets look at this using logic. People are falling for some persons "thought" that the no longer existent Aztecs declared the earth coming to an end...... Stupid Thought 1 Next Y2k Scare - Stupid Thought 2 Anyone have H1N1 Masks for sale?????
I actually like this type of landing page, and I'll bet that more and more products will appear in this little niche as we approach the dreaded day of destruction. Although there will be as much media hype denouncing this crazy 2012 theory as there is for doom and gloom, these products will do very well in my opinion. Just make sure you have a new product to pitch on December 13th, 2012 - oh, and expect a few refunds after that date as well
I probably wasn't as clear on that as I'd like to have been. I meant that sales for this type of product will pick up as D-Day approaches (lots of sales in September, October, and November 2012). So, expect a lot of refunds when nothing happens on 12-12-12.
