Is it just me or other people has same issue, this month to this date I have made $938.40 and got $235.46 in refunds which is about 25% I have read that one must expect 10% to be refunded, but 25% wtf When I first used clickbank I never got refund but now it just went crazy??
Its not only you, there are tons of including me. Some people do talk about it and some people don't. I will share some tips for people those who suffer from high refund ratio. (I had shared my views on my experience) 1) In your articles or landing page don't mention the fact about money back guarantee. If you still like to mention then don't over emphasis on the subject. 2) Don't promote crappy products or technical products which are difficult to understand, because if a customer don't find value in it or not able to understand guide he/she will definitely ask for refund. 3) Ask your vendor to give a review copy, try to check on your own if the product is worth enough of promoting or not. 4) Stay away from make money and forex niche, try to promote membership sites or useful software products like nichejunky, bookmarking demon. ( Basic thing is, product should carry some value in it.) 5) Diversify your portfolio with different affiliate networks, eg. cj.com, linkshare.com etc (Try to sell physical goods too, this will give you a good insight of affiliate marketing and its potential.) 6) CPA is some what hot today, if you get approved by some quality CPA networks then you will definitely earn more money than clickbank. Hope this tips help you.
Yes I would definitely suggest you join wealthy affiliate at least there you will know better before you go ahead and promote a product that has a high refund rate am sure it was a money making type of product that you were selling. I also experienced the same thing but that's not going to happen again since i get to know the refund rate of a product before i get to promote it. Cheers. Wishing you all the best.
I agree with robert25 that cpa offers are so much better than clickbank. There is no such thing as a refund that you have to be worried with. Also conversions are better with cpa.Just my 2 cents
Here is the reason why...You are seeing those refunds- http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1376087
It has became scary just to view the transactions page every day I find new refunds its like a nightmare
I don't fell any difference... Think it depends a lot on what products you are promoting. This month I got a refund rate of 3.6% averaging 3 sales a day. Also, everytime I get a refund I email the costumer and ask why they made the refund and if I can help them with anything regarding the product. In this way I might gather information that will help me prevent further refunds Most of the time you'll have to forward their reply to the vendor if you want anything out of it. Too bad most vendors are just super lazy and only think about automated cash -.- That's the case with brewdownloader at least -.-
I haven’t seen a spike in refunds over the past 2 months either and I’ve been tracking sales, refunds and refund percentages on a daily basis for 2 years. However, I have seen an overall increase in refunds compared to last year (5.7%). But at the same time I don’t agree with shoving refunds in peoples faces.
