Clickbank Recurring Products

So has anyone had much experience with selling CB recurring products?

There are two things I don't understand.

    1. When you go the "pitch page"...many of the payment forms have Paypal as a second option.

This seems to mean, effectively, that as much as 50% or more of your sales will be lost to Paypal? Does this seem shady to anyone else?

    2. Many of the products are listed in the recurring category but I can't find that they have a membership of any sort and the "future %" statistic reflects null.

    What gives?

Any thoughts on these two issues would be appreciated.

I don't know if you are referring to affiliates or publishers, either way you don't get paid via Pay Pal you only get paid through Click Bank. You will get paid exactly what it says by the commission amount.

    Well that is my point.

If someone pays via Paypal then it appears as if the referring affiliate gets nothing at all. So if 50% of the people pay via Paypal then 50% of your potential profit gets flushed down the drain.

    Does this make sense?

    Any thoughts here appreciated.

I am shocked that no one cares that half of their sales are going to Paypal and they are not getting credit...

most cb sites have a paypal icon but it still goes to the cb page. Once the buyer is at the cb checkout page they can choose paypal as their payment method - then it will go through cb and the affiliate will get credit. you will see PYPL as payment method on the report page.

If the link goes directly to paypal then no serious affiliate would consider promoting that product. If that is the case afiliates won't be making much and will stop promoting that product.

I haven't spent much time promoting recurring products yet, I don't think I've even made a recurring product sale yet. But I do love the idea of it... :) If I can find a recurring product I think I can sell I'll give it a go, for sure.
