Clickbank Publisher: Has it worked for you?

Hey guys i'm back again and I want to ask people who have published products on clickbank a question: has it worked for you? I know this may not be formal or good to ask but what type of money did you make from your ebook or download product ($$?-$$$$$?)?

The reason I ask because I am interested in selling my scripts through clickbank as well as even a membership system site through clickbank's system yet I am somewhat reluctant because I do not want to risk losing too much money at the moment however I can afford to lose some. Also another reason I am asking because I simply want to know if it is worth it. I have a quality product, and I design and code myself so I believe I can turn out a productive landing page that should be able to convince users.

Another thing I would like to ask is how much do you usually give to the publishers who back your product? (% wise) I'm very curious as to your answers as it will help me in my own findings and research; thanks in advance guys ^^.

    Hello, alfredn!

If you publish your product to CB, you will spend:
    - 50$ (CB publisher fee)
    - Hosting fees (if you need to buy hosting)
    - Domain fee (if you need to buy a domain)

Advertising fees as well if you decide to promote it through paid advertising, but the point of Clickbank is to get affiliates to promote for you...

Most affiliates would not even look at products that offer a payout which is less than 50%. Many will ONLY promote products which pay 60% and up, so 60% is a good start.

Getting affiliates to promote your product, is not much easier than promoting products yourself.

But, in my opinion, being a publisher is a bit easier. Less work, I think. The difficult part is to get affiliates for the product, after you got them, money will be coming quickly.

The commission for product should be 60-75% to attract affiliates. No one is going to promote a product that pays less than 50% commission.

If your product is a digital download or ebook I would definitely recommend 70%+ commission to attract affiliates as they will be the lifeblood of your business on Clickbank.

Once you start getting a few affiliates, word spreads, your gravity rises, and the rest is history...

I think you'll need to find affiliates who are familiar with the value of the php scripts and the target markets for those scripts. You may also want to provide key words and sample ads. I think you can be very successful selling php scripts as long as they aren't readily available for free or for less elsewhere.

Bear in mind that those getting php scripts tend to be tech savvy/resourceful, so if they can get the same thing for less elsewhere, they will.

    wish you luck!
