    ClickBank protects buyers pretty well, and this will affect affiliates.
    ~~~~~~
    Short-term: Your earnings 'go away' every time someone needs a refund (not good)
    Long-term: When buyers are confident, you'll eventually make money.
    Twice (in the last two years) I've bought products through ClickBank which turned out to be falsely advertised, or buggy scripts. I had a legit reason to need a refund.
    Both times ClickBank has made it really easy to get my money back :)
    Sometimes, it grants refunds very quickly without giving good opportunity for the vendor to solve the problem of customer.
    Agreed.
    My biggest refund ($150 today :)) was very legit because the vendor didn't answer emails for over 8 days.
    I'm sure some good vendors do lose sales though.
    Sure good vendors lose sales. Then again, all e-book authors get refunds. Great ones, terrible ones, and everybody in between. That's part of the cost of being the boss.
    And consequently affiliates have to take the good with the bad too.
    I agree with the statement that ClickBank protects buyers pretty well. As per the norms, the CB is to allow the refunds only if it falls under 60 days. But i got a refund after 95th day.
    Who should be blamed then?
    I wouldn't consider commissions to be 'earnings' until the refund has passed.
    as a credit card processing company, it is in their interest to issue refunds when customers complain. If they get too many chargebacks Visa/Mastercard/etc will raise their processing fees...
    The easiest way to avoid refunds is to only advertise products that offer a real value, clickbank is nice, but unfortunately many products, especially ebooks, promise alot and don't deliver much.
