ClickBank Promotion (100% Commission) - The 30-Day Challenge

    For those who stumbled across my other thread, you know I recently launched my first clickbank product, an ebook on creating effective powerpoint presentations. Here's more info on the product:

    Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions in getting affiliates. One suggestion was to create an affiliate contest/promotion, which brings me to this thread.

    I am launching a 30-Day Challenge. For any affiliate who can sell 100 or more sales of my ebook within a 30-day period, I will give you 100% commission for all your sales.

    Details
    • Your total sales count does not include refunds.
    • To participate, just contact me on DP by 6/30. Send me your intended start day and CB affiliate username in your message.
    • You must notify me at least 1 full day before your intended start date for the 30-day period.
    • If you make 100 sales or more, I will pay you the full earnings from all the sales minus any CB/transaction fees. The balance will be paid via paypal. For example, if you sell 250 in the 30 days, I will give you the full profits from all 250 sales.
    • Each person can only participate once for this challenge.
    • I reserve the right to close registration for participation early (i.e. before 6/30)... so, if you're interested, PM me today!

    100 copies in 30 days selling a product on powerpoint presentations!!! Good luck with this one cos you might need it. Only someone with a huge list related to that niche can pull this off. Anyways, good luck to anyone who wants to try it out.

    I had done some preliminary market sizing and the market is substantial given the proliferation PowerPoint throughout business.

    However, I'd like to get your thoughts on what would be a more reasonable challenge for this product?

    @Author - Could you please tell us what's new in your product that other free guides/tutorials don't offer? That could be a good selling point for this product.

    Sure.

    The bottom line is this is the only eBook teaching you presentation principles developed and practiced by management/strategy consultants. Frameworks and methodologies preached here are the same used by top consulting firms (i.e. McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Booz, etc.) when they deliver their final presentations after $MM engagements.

    Whereas other eBooks in the market focus on how to technically use PowerPoint (e.g. keystroke walk-thrus), this book focuses on more theory and approach (e.g. how to design your presentation story that will resound best with your audience, how to structure your slide content clearly and intuitively for your audience to absorb).

    For something more tangible, here are 3 specific topics covered in this ebook and not by others in the market

    Storyboarding - Teaches specific storyboarding frameworks, such as Pinto's Pyramid and MECE. This is the same material taught in top MBA programs for those looking to enter the management consulting industry.

    Structuring Content for your Audience - Teaches the PCPV framework, which involves understanding the psychology of your audience (by mapping them to a 2x2 personality matrix) and structuring the content of your slides accordingly. The questions answered with this approach include... how much data to include? build the back story or skip straight to conclusion? what if you have a multiple personality types in your audience?

    Deep Dive on Charts - Discusses about 20 different charts used in PowerPoint, from your most basic to more specialized, e.g. Mondrian, Surface, Bubble, Booz/Harvey Ball, Radar, etc. Goes over when to use each type of chart and the proper way to construct/design each in PowerPoint (e.g. for pie charts, order from largest wedge to smallest at 12 o'clock, moving clockwise).

    well, there are sites which allow sharing of powerpoint slides (mckinseys as well) but i see your added content such as deep dives and storyboarding may prove to be the difference here. good luck!

    Good luck to all the affiliates trying to push this.

    @kjose - you mention that the material is a part of the top MBA programs - i'm just wondering if this is particularly the niche which you are looking to hit, i.e. those who are getting into the management consultation industry as i'm wonder how valuable the material would be to those who just use powerpoint in other careers. i know that presentation is a part of many different careers but the methods do not always translate as it is industry specific. your thoughts?

    Thanks. Just want to clarify one thing -- my product is an ebook about teaching how to create effective powerpoint presentations. It's not selling of pre-made mckinsey/consulting type presentations.

    The target market is much larger. I genuinely feel this product is useful to anyone who has to make presentations at work (from MBAs to c-level executives). The reason being presentations is such an accepted and widely used form of corporate communication. Also, it's a tangible work product that gets distributed around, which makes it even more important for your presentation to have clear, cohesive, and consistent messaging.

    Previously, when I worked for a full service consulting firm (i.e. the firm did both mgmt + IT consulting), I had conducted several powerpoint presentation training sessions for both internal IT consultants and clients. These trainings came about as a direct result of complaints from both our VPs and client executives that the powerpoint presentations weren't clear and delivering the right messaging.

    I have a hard time selling any software "how to's". Most of the info you can get for free or it comes with the software. I did get some sales on "how to use excel to the fullest" but in all honsty, the help section in Excel was better so i just gave up. I got too many returns.

    If you truly have something different then i hope you do well!!!!
