As a publisher, I put my click bank payee information there, and apparently the public can see this. This sucks. Is there a way to get around this without paying for a corporation or LLC? I just don't want everyone in the world to see my name. Just curious what you think of this.
This is directly from the Clickbank account setup page: "If you are a publisher selling a product through ClickBank, keep in mind that your payee name is provided to customers as the contact name for your business when they make a purchase for your product." Also, when you enter the payee name it says "Public Facing" next to it.
What does that blog have to do with hiding Payee information from customers? The thing is I want to hide my name from customers because it feels weird and unprofessional. But if I use a different name I'm going to have to set up a legal entity or a DBA in order to be able to cash my checks. Has anyone gotten around this or do you use your real name as a clickbank publisher?
The payee name will be seen by customers on the order confirmation page. My advise: Get a business name
Thanks Swerd for giving me a straight, no spam, answer. If I could, I would "close" this thread, as you have answered my question.
I have registered with CB yesterday and have the same question. I have an idea. I think that the payee name is important only for the checks. The rules say: When you receive the first 3 checks you will become eligible for direct deposit in some countries. What happens if you change the payee name to a fake name?? Only the above payee name that is viewed to customers, not the name for Clickbank communications. Is it important for direct deposit?
