    Hi,

What's up with the following message that I see on ClickBank Order Forms recently?

"ClickBank wants to run the following add-on:..."

This message appears at the top after the order form fully loads.

    Check out my order form:

I wonder if anyone has experienced a drop in sales and notice this thing as the cause.

Looks fine here too. Maybe you have a virus/browser hijack?

Mine is doing the same thing. Not sure what it is. I'll try and run an adware remover later to see if it finds anything.

I'm seeing the same thing in IE8.

Looks like the problem is the logo.htm call in the iframe at the bottom of the page. If you try to load just the:

    https://ssl.clickbank.net/logo.htm?m=100100&s=some-hash

    (s= parameter can be anything)

You get the warning, followed by an immediate redirect to https://ssl.kaptcha.com/logo.htm

This also happens when you login to your account with IE8.

I know if I were a customer, I wouldn't want to bother with validation through "Office Genuine Advantage", even if I did have MS Office on my PC.

    Hank.

Have you checked how your sales have been affected by it?

I'm not a vendor yet, nor do I do big enough numbers with CB anymore to be anything but a rounding error. I used to, but they've been too unreliable lately so I've had to spread out and focus more on other ventures.

I think any of the large vendors should be able to tell right away though if they track their sales. Simply check the user agents of the sales before and after this weekend started.

I don't believe there was a problem last week. CB probably made some change in anticipation of their announced downtime on the 6th which they didn't tell anyone. But they did post that, "On 2009-07-06 from 9:00 a.m. PT to 1:00 p.m. PT ClickBank will perform maintenance."

No telling what we're facing tomorrow.

    Hank
