So am I missing something ? I log into Clickbank, I sort out the Marketplace according to the catagory I want and all I seem to be able to get is a "hoplink" ? Do none of these affiliates have banners ads ? Template mail letters ? All I have to work with is a single text link ???

go to the sales page and look for a link that says "affiliates", webmasters" etc.

the link is usually at the bottom. You should find banners etc. at this link

Promoting with text link, that's nothing ;) You have to use other promotion methods, otherwise you won't earn anything.

Affiliates connect users right to the publisher's website. The hoplink is basically a redirect link that puts an affiliate cookie on the user's computer before sending him to the sales page... this allows the affiliate to get credited for the sale.

Graphics, banners, promotion articles, and even technical support are all provided by the publisher.

The best wat to find publishers in the marketplace is to do a keyword search. Look attheir pitch pages. Then, when you see one you like, scroll all the way to the bottom and look for a little text link that says, "Affiliates." This is where you'll usually find information, graphics you can use, promotional files, etc.

I hope this helps to answer your question. Good luck.
