I have been silently browsing this subforum for the past day and I am quite interested in the amount of money that is possible to make. First off, will I need an actual site to redirect traffic to, and then send that traffic to my affiliate page? I was reading into bum article advertising and have also been brainstorming other ways. Will I need a redirect page for these too? How should I set up these articles - to attract people from initial traffic, or to attract search engines?
I would make site with the products and use that site in all advertisng and marketing. You should write articles and post to get people and search engines. Not one or the other.
hi, you don't need a website... all you have to promote with ClickBank is your unique affiliate link that you get when you sign up for ClickBank.. usually, products come with good sales letters and squeez pages. atracting search engines is hard... for ex. if you have a brand new site, it will take aproximatlly 6 month untill Google indexes your site.. so it's better to target your website directly from the articles it-self or using a signature at the end of the article.
Well..ok...i will try to word it so i dont sound like i am "promoting" a certain product. But when i really, really recommend a method which requires a certain tool...well blame me, whatever... *) Landing pages are good to have. It's even better if you create/design and reword your own. I often just plain copy a site i like, i download it and then reword it, maybe add my own logos etc. But this takes time. *) Redirects and URL cloaking. It would be out of the scope of this thread now to give an in-depth explanation about the different ways to "cloak" and redirect to a 3rd party site. But the basics are that you have a few lines of code on a site on YOUR url...with your affiliateID embedded...and by going to that site (through tricks) the customer is actually going to the real original site of the product you promote. (Of course with your affiliate ID) I wrote a bit about that recently (i also blogged a bit on my http://www.1up-seo.com about this recently) There is one program which stands out from the rest and it's called CovertLinks. Read my review here. Whjat CoverLinks does (besides other tricks to make sure you dont lose commissions due to problems with browsers and cookies)...you can enter your affiliate ID and URL...and then it creates a "pseudo" clone site which is accesible under your OWN adress. So...it uses advanced techniques to actually rediect to the other site...and you can have a "clone" site made with a few clicks of your mouse. Even better: There is a PHP version included (which has some minor quirks right now, but the programmer is working on them)..the PHP version of CovertLinks actually downloads a site complete and hosts it on your server. In essense that means: You just enter the URL of the site you want to promote..and your affiliate ID and then click a button and upload the resulting .PHP file to your server. If i click on this now it downloads the whole site which is available under your URL...and you didnt have to design, copy or do anything You also have a reallanding page then with content and all the works. Edit: Absoulte quickest way: Use this or a similiar tool and "clone" sites in afew minutes...upload them to your server....make Adwords campaigns...and in a max. 10mins i can have ANY product on its own page on my server and a running Adwords campaign
You can go both ways...for SE you NEED to have content. YOu can also start on Squidoo (VERY, VERY good !) and do some product reviews or similiar...and then use the force of social bookmarking and submit your squidoo lens to digg, stumbleupon etc..etc.. For PPC/Adwords...it doesnt matter...but as said above...landing page is always good..google likes them and your cost per click will be low ! Then just use your keywords and drive traffic to the page. If you focus on PPC 100% you dont need to bother with SE traffic...but of course you can combine the two also.
