I sent an email to ClickBank about this, along with a link to this thread.

Let this thread stand as our petition for change.

    Speak up everyone!

This is really put me off of Clickbank. Last week I had two refunds for a product which I never had before. Is already hard to get sales and when you got them half are just refunds. The product is in health niche and both were paypal purchases and I hav advertise that roduct for a year nor, never got a refund for it before. This is becoming pointless no matter what some people here is saying. I am not doing PPC, I had planned to start it, but I will give up if they don't change their policy. You just work for free now.

Warning to clickbank if you don't remove this new refund policy I will start buying products and issuing refunds after :D

    Just Kidding!

I have never issued a refund though I have bought many stuff from cb, but this new policy has a lot of prejudice to the affiliates and vendors rather than encouraging some people to get refunds on many legit and good products

They have actually made it so easy that even a 10 year old will know how to get a refund. With a couple of clicks...You get a refund.

All they really have to do is make a slight adjustment...Instead of having that huge "ASK FOR A REFUND" check button...Just have it on the drop down options menu. That way a person who is truly looking for a refund will actually get a refund.

The rest who get ideas of getting an easy refund by just looking at the button will not ask for refunds anymore. That big check box is actually quite tempting...Therefore every other tom, dick and harry says...Hey! So I can get an easy refund just by checking this box? Let's try it out. What's the harm in trying anyway.

It's like calling the customer support and before you even ask your question the agent says- Do you want support or would you like a refund? What would you opt for?

Good point Ryan - I'd probably go for the refund. But then again - we are meant to promise the 60 day guarantee, are we not?

My question to you - as you're an experienced publisher - is whether you've actually seen an increase in refund requests or not?

I didn't know it was that easy to get a clickbank refund. I guess that is good customer service though!

Here's the deal. Clickbank will probably change this when their refund rate shoots to an average of 50% because they are encouraging people to use and abuse the system.

The increase in refunds have to be costing Clickbank a ton of money. We'll see how long it takes them to change it.

I don't think this logic is right. CB is not a regular bank that depends solely upon financial transactions.

I too don't think so, unless they are showing us something and paying something else!

    ummm...

Clickbank has to refund 100% of the purchase price. That means that the affiliate loses all of his revenue, the vendor loses all of his revenue and Clickbank has to refund their revenue from the sale too, correct?

So yeah, refunds definitely hurt CB too, unless I'm missing something.
