@everyone - I have 6 articles live on ezine and one article have got 60 views and 18 clicks while others have 20-25 views and 2 or no clicks. Is this fine or too less? No sales made as of yet. What is the average number of views and clicks you guys are getting per article?

@15challenger every article is different. I have some articles that are now in the 10s of thousands of views but on the other hand I have a few articles that are still only getting 100 views a month. It all varies there is too many factors to take into consideration like niche, popularity etc. You can't compare one article with another.

    Thanks

Are articles your main source of traffic?

@ruddo articles are a big part of my traffic but not the only source.

I'm thinking about outsourcing around $500 worth of articles to get started with. I can write, but it will take me a while to get in the swing of writing every day again. And I need some cash soon, so I'll start off outsourcing the articles and once I start seeing some money I'll be much more motivated to write myself lol.

    @petehols

Do you bookmark your articles? I have an account on OnlyWire that I attempt to do that with. Of course a few of the social bookmarking sites have banned places like EzineArticles due to "spam".

I'm guessing the blogs, hubpages, squidoo lenses, etc, are mainly for backlinks? I've tried out a few things on Hubpages and Squidoo, and I must say the traffic is nothing spectacular.

@brada7x the traffic from squidoo and hubpages etc can be good but I mainly use them for backlinks. The onlywire account there is a few tricks that cna get aroung these things. I cannot reveal these here yet but very soon.

    * Do articles gradually lose there strength to pull people in and stay at the top of SERPS?
    * Is Bum marketing something you HAVE to continue doing full time otherwise it dies off?

If I write 100 articles I'd hope its an investment that keeps paying rather than an income for a short period. Hope you can enlighten me. Love the journal btw. :)

@Ashiro If you do bum marketing correctly then you should be able to keep you articles high up in the serps which will mean you keep getting traffic. In fact last week I got a sale from an article that I wrote right at the very start of this journal so that is 6 months ago.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks

Congrats on your solid September figures, Pete. Keep up the good work - nearly there.

Just going back to this post you made a few pages back - I was just wondering if you had any plans on making a tutorial or software for this automated solution you have found?

I'd definitely pay for something like this because it drains the soul submitting to so many directories manually lol I'd prefer to focus on other things if I could minimize the time for this process.

@Altug I will be releasing this but not just now. I am making changes to this as I want it to work better. Sorry I am a bit of a perfectionist so want to make sure everything works perfectly. It won't be long, I will be testing some more first.

    Thanks

Two questions, Pete, very sorry if they've been addressed before, I keep up with the article but it's so massive at this point they may have fallen through the cracks.

One: How do you track sales from individual articles? I noticed that you mentioned that you got a sale from an article you wrote 6 months ago. Or did you just mean it was for a product that you haven't promoted in 6 months?

Two: Congrats on the new product. How do you go about putting one of these together. I've been an affiliate for some time now as I know you have, so I was wondering how you went about making the transition. Do you hook up with someone to do all of the product side stuff and you stick to the marketing and split the profits together or did you have a big hand in creating the product? I guess it's simple enough, just write a ton of helpful pages on a topic, make an ebook out of it, then contact clickbank...but it seems so much more involved and consuming than that.

I just saw your other post about your product launch. Do you maybe look at other decent selling guides, add what they're missing, rearrange, and rebrand?

    thanks for the replies man.

    Hi Pete.

You mentioned that you draw traffic to your Wordpress landing page and from there you link customers to your hop page.

What exactly do you include on your WP landing page? Is there a sample landing page that I could check out? I understand that you don't want to reveal the niche you are in so you probably will not want to reveal your own landing page, but could you possibly find an example landing page?

Basically I just want to know what to include on the Wordpress landing page in order to presell your prospects.

    Thanks alot!

well done Pete, those are great figures. It's pretty impressive since you've been working on your new product (I imagine that took quite a bit of your time)

I don't know if this has been covered before, it's hard to keep up with this thread all the time, but have you spent any money on promoting products at all?

What I mean by this is:

Have you purchased domains or do you use free blogs such as WP and Blogger to produce landing pages?

Basically, have you had any expenses whatsoever throughout producing the $34k you've made so far?

@brada7x yes I have spent money I have about 35 domain names all of them .info so that equates to $41.30 and I have a hosting account which cost me $10 for 10 years and that allows unlimited domains to be hosted and everything is unlimited. It was a special offer that was on and I am very happy with the provide I think I have had about 10 minutes downtime on the sites since I started with them but that was my fault.

So total spend on all campigns would be $51.30 i am trying to think if there is anything else but I really think that is it. I haven't paid for any advertising no google ads or media buys or anything like that. I did think about premium membership on EZA right at the start but thought better of it. Thankfully I did. Ireally dont think it would have made a difference.

Maybe I should start looking at paying for advertising as I think that could get me to my goal but i don't have the time to delve into it properly otherwise I would.

    Thanks

    Pete

35 infos on godaddy will cost you less than $30 and if you buy in bulk even more :)

Thats a nice spending amount i guess your a full on bum marketer, im working with a few bum marketing techniques to see how it goes and got to say i am having a lot fo fun with it.

Had a great laugh with creating catchy keyworded tites for my articles:

I,e: 5 Simple Steps to Follow to... PRODUCT NAME Read Now Before you Explode? made me laugh and in 10 hours got 62 views so not bad XD
