@legendary11 sorry never seen the post sometimes this thread moves faster than I can type. Yes I use the same articles for squidoo and hubpages but I just change the title and the first paragraph. I mainly only use squidoo and hubpages for backlinks to the articles now though. I haven't went fully into video marketing yet. I have made about 40 videos and a few of them are getting some decent traffic. I am trying to work out how to fully implement video marketing with the way the promotion of articles go. I don't pretend to have fully mastered anything yet as you always learn something new but I have a few reference points of what seems to work.

    Hopefully that helps.

    Thanks

    Pete

Dim.. I don't understand why you are attacking.
you have made over 1800 posts... which means you talk a lot (which according to your logic you make the least)...

And... you never want to go to an article straight to a landing page.. You want a landing site filled with at least 4 articles, contact section, and email capture form.......

You need to build trust with your prospects.

The only time you would ever use a one page landing presell is if the customers are ready to buy and looking for that one little push. That will normally never happen from an article.

    Hey Pete,

This is terrific what you are doing. I wish you the best of luck, and will be following you in your posts. If you want a great free landing page template for wordpress do a search for flexibility2. It's the best salespage template I have come across. For myself, I would like to see the difference with direct linking or having a landing page to promote.

I've read a lot about capturing the customers email address by giving them something for free. I've heard even giving an ebook on the topic works.

    I'm really excited for you.

    Dave

Probably 80% of my posts are making fun of the idiots and fraudsters that make up the majority of the members of this forum.

The other 20% is probably trying to help the minority of somewhat intelligent people around here.

@Everyone i have a quick question for you. I have just had an opportunity come across my desk to get involved in a product as a vendor. I wanted to ask your advice. The niche will be in the energy savings. The opportunity could be quite lucrative and a good way to introduce myself to the world of being a vendor. There is a lot of good affiliates that are following this thread and possibly some vendors too. I wanted to know if you think this sort of product would be a good way to start. I am currently working on 3 products of my own but this opportunity does seem very tempting. Does anyone have any thoughts?

    Thanks

    Pete

Yer.. dont energy is being worked to death and although there are always gaps in markets to promote your product you will need something special to shine.

I think you should focus on your own products...

and maybe tell us ... HOW MUCH U MADE THIS MONTH diying to know >.>

Hey Pete, can I be cheeky and just ask the question above one more time - I think you missed it a couple of times as you're obviously quite busy and dedicated to your goal. :)

If you get a bit of time, I'd really appreciate it - If not no worries!

Anyone else experienced could also answer this for me as well - DLM, i'd be interested to hear what you think as you don't seem to pull any punches with your answers. Would appreciate your time :)

Pete, I think if you have done your research well and you believe it to be a profitable niche then I have faith that you'll make a decent product.

As you said there are quite a few energy saving affiliates online and a few even following your thread. I think you'll have more than enough affiliates willing to jump on board if you have a good product that converts well.

Of course, these are just my observations. Maybe someone more experienced can chime in too

Stop spamming. Those "services" are shit that have a better chance of getting your site banned than improving it's rankings.

Wow, someone likes my style - how can I not give you an answer...

In my experience, article directories almost always rank better than someone's content website (unless that website is HUGELY popular). For example, ArticlesBase.com is PR5 (with thousands of links) and EzineArticles.com is PR6. If you post an article to those websites you immediately get the benefits from all those links.

What you can do is create a page on your website called "Articles" or something and link to each of your articles on EzineArticles or ArticlesBase or wherever. This is similar to what Pete is doing with Squidoo and Hubpages and can help improve the search engine rankings of those articles.

That is what I would try in your situation.

@Dlm I couldn't have said it better myself. I will second you opinion. Some people do take a lot of your posts the wrong way but they always do cheer me up!

    Thanks

Hey pete, great thread has really given me some ideas.

You mention you create squidoo lenses to to build backlinks. Are you generating any income from these lenses? I wasn't planning on using squidoo in my strategy but if it brings in a few extra bucks it may be able to justify the effort. I get the feeling that they probably don't, just curious.

    Thanks.

@buzza_gts I only really use squidoo for backlinks but a few of the lenses do get some good traffic but I only use that as a way to funnel them trough to my landing page.

    Hope this helps

Pete, Sir, Getting involved as a vendor is a learning opportunity. The primary consideration would be whether this dilutes your current focus, and if it fits with your business plan. Everyone makes mistakes starting out. Even without major errors costing a vendor reputation and affiliates, each develops methods to address markets that work cross-niche. That particular niche may challenging, due to well-funded and knowledgeable competition, but would teach you more than a less aggressive market. You have the opportunity to learn using someone else's product, which would allow you to have a more developed approach to your own launches when ready.

There are also several reasons not to do this, including: You have a work ethic that allows more rapid progress than most people. You control your own pace, allowing you to control output. Partnerships are never equal in work undertaken, effort expended, intellect nor intent. I know you like to share, but you may prefer to keep all of your work and procedures, developed as a vendor through personal experience, proprietary. If or when you eventually expand into a full company with employees, these procedures become trade secrets.

@MuseHack Thanks for your insight. I never thought of it along those lines I am a bit of a control freak and might not be a good idea to partner with someone. I just thought I would ask the question but a lot of questions have been thrown up in my mind already and they would all need to be clarified before anything goes any further.

Anyway I am currently working on 3 products. 1 is an internet marketing product but is still a month or so maybe more before completion. The other 2 are products that I think have a huge place in the market. It has been leaked what sort of product it is but I will be doing a pre-launch tomorrow.

    Thanks

    Pete

Don't worry about it it would have come out sooner or later. Lol Just making some improvements to the book as we speak I am sure you will find this new revision a lot more insightful.

    Thanks
