You got it right Squeezepage but don't tell anyone....shhhh...However, there are some niches like get ex back, weight loss etc. that you can not rank with AB. Maybe I choose the wrong keywords, I don't know.

@redrossero I have to disagree my very first product I promoted was ex back and it ranked page 1 on google with AB it is all down to the keyword research you do. My very first sale was an ex back sale from the articles I wrote. I have now however left this field as there was more profitable products that I am concentrating on at the moment. The exact same goes with weight loss. Choose your keywords carefully and you can rank for many good terms in highly competitive niches!

    Thanks

@pete - Thankyou. Seriously, thankyou. Just one question. What search volume and search results is considered to be good? 500,000 volume with 2 million results is considered good? I would be glad, if you answer this. :)

Do you think using a blogger blog post can work as a landing page? I see a lot of people doing it, but it's hard to tell if it's working for them or not

Yeah maybe it was just because of my keywords not chosen carefully. What do you use for your keyword research if may I ask?

This is a bit like compound interest. In the last month you earnt 4 times what you made in the first two months. I'm guessing a lot of people would give up after the first few months of not seeing good results not realising that it takes at least 6 months of consistent hard work to see your hard work pay off. Well done

Sorry I'm new to this, how do you get a squidoo or hubpage completed. Do you rewrite all your content, or just copy your articles? They are like blogs right. Wow you're really going at this. I;m always such a procrastinator and so lazy, got to change lol

@15challenger the beat thing I can advise you is to test but I wouldn't go with anything that has more than 20000 competition. I was surprised the other day as I was testing a few keywords with a few articles. I found 1 keyword with 20000 competition and over 20000000 results it took me 4 days to get position 5 in gooe, this was for a 3 word phrase in an extremely competitive market. It just goes to show you maybe nothing is out of reach if done correctly.

    Thanks

    Pete

So I was reading half way through your journal but it's a long read in a day. But I'm wondering was the direct link to the product productive or did you create a landing page later on?

Sounds like a fun plan. I know alot of people make money from marketing other people's products but why not make your own products or website and market that?

It seems most intelligent because then you will have people marketing YOU!

There is nothing wrong with click bank affiliate marketing, I do it, but I just feel like I need to build MY business instead of someone else's.

Would it be a better use of time to build your OWN business?

@pete - By competition you mean the search volume/month, right? You say you wouldn't choose a volume that is more than 20k or I understood it wrong? Also, why do you use quotes when choosing keywords? I mean with quotes the search results are pretty less and without them they are HUGE, I mean HUGE. 98% searchers don't use quotes. Even I don't. So why the quotes? Does it help in getting your article ranked properly? I mean if I take "weight loss tips", my article might rank on first page with quotes but its impossible without quotes. How do you manage it?

The search with quotes it shows you the exact number, not a broad number. However, you know your real competition when you check the intitle: "keyword". I never go over 1000. Also check how many pages already google indexed with your keywords where do you want to place your article.

@15challenger you use the quotations to determine how much competition is for that keyword. If you use the example you did "weight loss tips" you get a competition of 150,000 which is definately a keyword you would find very hard to get listed on the front page. Get a list of keywords that when you type into google with quotes get you a competition level under 20,000. Also check the keywords without quotes, If you see ann article, squidoo lense or anything linke that on page 1 without the quotes then GO FOR IT!! it just means you need more links to your article than theirs which is generally easy enough to do.

    I hope this helps

    Pete

Thnx pete and red. Just one more thing. How much search volume is considered to be good for writing on it. I mean, the 500k ones have huge competition, so I won't even think of taking that. Is 80-90k search volume/month, worth working on that keyword?

Any keyword which has search results of under "150,000" is worth a shot with Articles, Blogging and PPC.

I always wondered how to select the keywords, this explains a lot now. Thanks!

Question. How exactly do we get more links to the article? I find this the most challenging.
