your thread made me sign up at plimus. By the way..clickbank and PPC....not good.

I would continue and write articles/outsourcing...that's what i am doing right now. I wish you would be successful with Cb + Adwords/PPC..but i do it for 2+ years and it just isn't worth it. I think articles and organic SEO is the way to go. PPC i would only use for higher converting things like CPA.

As far as I have experienced clickbank is something that must be done all on your own. What I mean is .. outsourcing articles and all the other SEO/SEM tasks can be quite expensive and hardly see any return on investment.

I have done a similar experiment back when I first started with CB. I have marketed a few landing pages with ezinearticles alone to see what happens without promoting the articles. (that was back then)

Article marketing can be sharpened as a skill but it's really about luck as well.

My results with article marketing did not disappoint me -- I had submitted well over 280 articles (optimized content) for 4 different products. Over a 6 months span I managed to rake over $2400 in commissions which isn't bad.

But lets do the math .. If you were to outsource all the landing pages/articles :

- 280 articles * $4 per article = $1120
- 4 landing pages * $50 per landing page = $200
- 6 months hosting = $54

Grand total = $1374

That is a NET profit of $1026 which isn't bad for a few hours of work (submitting articles)
But again everyone starting out with article marketing alone should know that quality is over quantity and no one will ever make a fortune with article marketing alone..

precious thats good going, you may not become super rich from article marketing and outsourcing but it does bring in an okay income, if you just had adsense on your site im willing to bet you wouldnt have made $200

Hi Pete, been reading here and there from the beginning. I have gotten lost the past couple weeks reading off and on. I know you have been making changes as you go. Where are you submitting your articles now? Are you still trying to do 4-5 a day per item?

I have been wanting to do your dream for a long time now. I have been working on and off with adsense no real income just a little here and there. You have inspired me more to try to get into affiliate marketing as well as ad income.

 

@Radejr47403 that is the whole point of this. This Thread has grown to be more than just Affiliate marketing and Clickbank. It is more of a how to make money online sort of thread. Rather than putting all your eggs in one basket, if anything goes belly up you still have other things to fall back on.

This thread just goes to show why you should never spend any money on a product by a so-called internet marketing guru (who only makes money by selling his crappy products). Free information is out there - it is usually honest and of better quality than the secretive stuff anyway. Props to Pete for making this thread and keeping it updated.

The whole key is testing. Not sure if it's better to make a landing page or forward directly to the affiliate? Not sure which of the three products in your niche will convert best? Not sure what types of keywords to use in your article's title? If you aren't sure about any of these topics - the best solution is to test them out. Test different methods and formulas and see what happens. Every exact situation is different and sometimes things work for one person that don't work for another. Just keep trying stuff - especially with the free marketing, since there's no direct cost to doing it, you may as well try a whole pile of different methods and see which ones give you the best results. Then you can start tweaking those to become even more efficient...

I tried with adwords for 3 days... 50 euro ... 81 clicks ... no sale ... a standard landing page and an add made "by the book" and with the price of the product in it so only the interested visitors click it... no luck ... may be is the landing page... or the product
