They also need to assign persons to be members of these CB forums and they in turn report back to CB headquarters about the happenings on these forums, they have to be in touch with the common folk.

Anyhow I guess that is why they have their own blog..so ..go figure....

Everyone needs to get on their blog and start posting comments under every post about this issue until they open their god damn eyes. I am sure they will love having tons of members posting negative things all over their blog for the public to see.

Well they're probably working on it, this just doesn't affects us, it affects them, since many of us are making less revenue that usual, they're not making as much themselves. If we make money, they do, so now, they're making less money then usual, I'm sure they're concerned as well, and are working on it

Ya but apparently bitching about it helps the understandable sense of helplessness. That and talking about taking actions like mass e-mailing Clickbank etc.etc.

Like they say, at least your hearts in the right place:cool:

I'll try to shed some light - what is happening is definitely real.

    1. CB DOES read these and other forums, they may not post much but they do have QC and the staff themselves are not exactly newbies to our worlds...

    2. ClickBank in general (IMO) needs to update both their servers, their risk management software, and their ability to process MORE simultaneous orders - a HARD FEAT when you have the inventory and tracking and payment and and and needs the size they do. My bet is that even though they are leaders in our sector - they themselves are growing with their business and learning/trial/error as they go.

    3. The recent strain of drops in sales for most is indeed real, I also get emails stating people can't order at the time. I have a few accounts that process a LOT every day so it's quite easy to pinpoint ODD or WONKY days where fluctuation is NOT just fluctuation... I've actually spent some time on the phone with them and to the best of my knowledge and what I could pull from contact with CB - here are a few scenarios:

    a) Risk Management: CB actually caps out accounts when a LOT of random or suspicious activity happens to avoid fraud (literally 'risk' management) - They either cap it out based on region, or bank, or credit card, or other variables. We've had gaps of 5-8 hours with no sales for no apparent reason - we've had days where ONLY USA orders come in, and days where ONLY NON USA orders come in... Risk management sucks but needs to be there - and there is no way to know when you've been capped.

    b) As a publisher, luckily overall sales have not been affected, and that makes me question how affiliates get slapped, and why I don't see some of my top earners as much in my stats lately. There is no huge influx of internal sales, and if that happened for the whole catalogue at CB - everyones ref% would drop dramatically - so it's isolated to random affiliates, and random publishers, at random times based on risk of fraud or too much activity on the account.

What gets me going is when huge gurus do their launches and see grav 700, how much do they lose or get capped at, or do they know something about the risk management we don't - like non US sales raise flags faster or if you do x,y,z you'll never get capped etc...

All in all it's a necessary evil and there may be more to it - like paypal being down/upgrading/patching/etc (CB runs their whole backend on paypal for those that don't know), or an array of other crap. Writing in mass emails or spreading a smear campaign is not going to fix the issue - with the amount of aff's and pubs they have, believe me they probably get thousands of these emails a day when they do an update or mess with peoples sales every now and again.

Shitty thing to say but we all have to just ride it out.

Risk Management is a must when it come to payment processing but if all these issues are really caused by it then the Risk Management they have is causing more problems than solving.

Can anyone think of a scenario worst than all these amount of sales being rejected?

Wow. I didn't even know what "risk management" was - thanks for shedding some light!

Did you get any heads-up on when they might fix the problem?

    News Flash

Two sales popped into the net this morning, both at exactly the same time apparently! And the Main News is, one is a Visa sale! The first for me in 11 days!

Seems like these two were held up in the system and then released at exactly the same time.
