I am one of those affiliates who's sales have dropped dramatically since the clickbank update. Well here are two emails I recieved from two guys on my site trying to buy XXXX product...
I think they're having intermittent problems. I haven't got a sale during the day in at least the last 3 days. They all happen within the last 5 hours of the day (Clickbank time). Even then, I'm still making more than I was before the problems started. Sort of makes you wonder.
I have also noticed something like this too, but a look at cb analytics tells me something else could also be going on
This may not be so applicable but I got my first check today and when I went to cash it the teller said it was on hold until the 26th.. Is this an anomaly or because it's my first check?
Lol. This email sounds more and more like a "I live in Nigeria and need money because I cannot afford a doctor for my dying mother...." etc etc. I've never had Nigeria sales, but I guess your niche gets sales from everywhere eh?
That's a policy of banks. They hold checks for a period of time and depending on your bank account they might give you the cash up front, or give you some. I get $200, and the rest comes after 5 business days of processing. Basically they don't find out if there's money in clickbank's bank account for a few business days. The longer wait time often comes from it being an international check (if you happen to live internationally).
Since the update my sales have been slow but today its shocking.... 200 Hops per order instead of an average of 20! (BTW the Average is calculated over a peiod of 7 month and around 3000 sales - so its pretty accurate)
I wonder if we can correlate some stuff. 10th - Bad day (no sales) 11th - Good day 12th - Bad day (no sales during high volume times) 13th - Good day 14th - Fair 15th - Good day 16th - Bad day (no sales during high volume times) 17th - Bad day (no sales during high volume times) 18th - Turning out to be no sales during high volume times.
You go man! someone should kick their ass for all this hassle, with their huge revenues they should invest in a better infrastructure where stuff like these are minimized - which is hardly the case! They just dont know that they are playing with people's money, and some depend solely on it
I would disregard the last error about a week ago, except after that was "fixed" I went back to my normal 80 dollar days.. then boom again! what the hell!
Should we make a thread with all the people who complain about these problems? After we make a list with our CB users we can e-mail Clickbank and explain the problem, providing the user names. Or we could each send an e-mail on a specific date and hour complaining about this. I stopped my cb promotions about one week ago, because I don't want to lose sales.... This is pretty f.....d up.
I think if we all emailed them it would work better. But all in all, I don't think it is necessary. You have to take into consideration that this is a mutual thing. If clickbank isn't processing sales, they're losing money too. I don't think there are businesses out there that are purposely looking to lose money.
Agreed but that's not the point. They should have at least inform us, send out newsletters/notifications or something & let us know what's going on!! People who do ppc are spending A LOT of money driving traffic to their (CB) products, they should be considerate about that. I'm sure we will not be so pissed if they are a little bit more transparent about their tracking and issues. Again, how hard it is for a company that is obviously making millions a year to send out emails, rss or blog post to keep everyone updated? Doesn't make any sense.
Or there could be no problem at all. Now that I think of it the banks are collapsing, the markets are volatile and there's not enough credit to go around. Just a thought.
But you know what? They are making money on our back, We, affiliates and publishers do all the work and their role is to have a 100% working system, but it seems that they don't have it. I am not complaining about Clickbank. I just want to fix this problem somehow. Here's a good, yet hard to acomplish idea: Let's start our own network .
