I have been reading up on clickbank recently and understand that plenty of people are wondering what is happening. Anyway, I am not looking at discussing those issues and want to try and clarify some things: 1. Clickbank hops: - Is this just the number of people that have clicked on one of your affiliate links? Or is there something more to them? 2. People have mentioned about their affiliate id showing on the clickbank payment form. Where is this shown exactly? And how do you test it is working correctly?
To answer your first question yes the hops mean the number of people that have clicked your affiliate links to buy or to check out the product that you are promoting . After putting your affiliate id on the product link that you are promoting , go to the sale page of this product and you will see your affiliate id at the bottom of the page . If your affiliate id is not showing at the bottom of it , you are not going to get credit for the sale .
Affiliate ID shows only at the bottom of the payment page and in your affiliate hoplink. It can't be anywhere else.
I tried it out on a well known product - Keyword elite EDITED: Silly me - I wasn't checking the actual payment page where details where filled in, I was only checking the actual form page that was also upselling seo elite . Anyway, the upshot is that it does show up and now I know where to check in future as well. Thanks for clarifying things in the previous posts.
