their refund policy offer full refund for any product buying within 90 days. paychecks are sent every 16 days or so. MASSIVE FAIL. Lets say you buy a 50% commision product wich cost 200$ to buy from your own affiliate ID. 1) you get 92$ in your clickbank account+the product 2) you wait 30 days until you receive your 90$ paycheck 3) you cash your check, and ask for a refund. Result? you just robbed clickbank 90$+ a 200$ worth product. Someone could basically do this compulsively for monster cash, and if he is skilled and use different names/accounts, he could easily do this undefinetly without getting banned. Do they have any kind of special protection system against such fraud?
First of all its an 8 week (56 days) money back guarantee and not 90 days. Secondly there is a reason why you need to make 5 sales with different payment methods (visa, master card, paypal etc.) before you can get paid. Thirdly they hold back a small percent of your account balance for instances like this. Statistics show that the refund rate is not that big and with the amount of money that they hold back from your balance you are pretty much covered. Technically you are right you can beat the system. But not by much and by that time you get banned. Their loss with these scams is just a small part of their operational cost.
I heard recently that clickbank has had some 1,000,000$ days. I believe that your account gets suspended after 3 or 4 purchases through your own hoplinks, some people have tried to do this in the past saying, I can get you any clickbank product 50% off!! Clickbank has dealt with these foo's.
25. Can I purchase products through my own hoplink? The short answer is yes, but ClickBank does not condone affiliates using their accounts for this sole purpose. As stated in our Accounting Policy, "ClickBank accounts cannot be used for the sole purpose of collecting rebates or otherwise extending credit to yourself or others." That is, affiliates should not be using their own hoplinks to purchase products for themselves and then collect a "rebate" check from ClickBank. Unless an account contains sales from made with 5 or more different credit card numbers, including at least one Visa card, and one MasterCard, our system will not generate a check for that account (even if the balance has ------- doesnt really say its "not allowed"..they only say its not allowed if an account is used SOLELY for that purpose.
GeorgR Exactly, they don't say that you MUST NOT BUY PRODUCTS using your own affiliate link, and if you that, they are not going to ban you. If you have sales with 5 or more different credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard, then there should be no problems. Exilus is a clever guy
I have a total of above 120 sales....but that doesn't mean i would be allowed to fraud like this =/. I think they should still state you will be banned for X numbers of sales via your own link...because "you should not" is kinda vague. Thank you
"I think they should still state you will be banned for X numbers of sales via your own link" Have you found such statement? The rule that you should not buy products using your own link, I think, it's for beginners, who can't make sales. If you are experienced affiliate with many sales, that should not affect you.
Yes, first of all that is why you have to make five sales first from different cards also they also keep a certain amount before they release your paycheck what they call allowance for most people they usually take 10% but if your account is new and you buy through your hoplink they would hold 25% Clickbank is not a new company they have their ways of dealing with this kind of things, why do ou think some countries are banned
"dude thats stealing, its a wonder that you dont go to jail!" If you read the rules, he is doing nothing wrong. After he receives the cheques, he is asks for a refund for a previously bought product. The only thing that I a bit worried about is regular purchases using your own affiliate link. Also I think, regular refunds will soon become suspicious
Yes. They only send checks to people with sales from at least 5 different names. This means that in such a situation you would never receive the $90 unless you also made sales to at least 4 other real people. Also I don't see how you could do this multiple times unless you are creating fake credit card accounts etc which is of course not quite legal.
No, no. Just forget about this idea guys Eventually you will get banned, because of regular refunds or regular purchases using your own link.
Or you could just focus your attention on actually making real money and not trying to make money by scamming. Which one will work better in the long run?
Scamming? /jokeoff naah...i was just suggesting a method in my thread...i don't nor wasn't planning to use it....
hehe fair enough. I just think you'd be better off figuring out a way to build a business, rather than cooking up these little schemes
