I read several emails from marketers promoting a product. They wrote: "Get ready for a shocking fact... I was reading an interview with Clickbank's VP of Business Development today, and in it he admitted that most affiliates don't actually make any sales... Clickbank has 1.2 million affiliates, and only 110,000 of them make at least 1 sale every 3 months. The others don't make anything at all. And here's the really scary part: Only 1% of the ones that get sales make enough money to live on. Man, that's crazy." If you want to know who are they, go to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...s&btnG=Search&cts=1245206978775&aq=f&oq=&aqi= Comments please. Thanks.
gyal god, If you are promoting ClickBank products to those who have CB accounts and/or have friends, relatives, etc who have CB accounts (to share commission), the volume of your traffic is of no importance due to "commission robberies". Please read my comment on ClickBank's blog on http://www.clickbank.com/blog/2009/...rketing-on-msnbc/comment-page-1/#comment-6119 before it is deleted. I wrote: "ClickBank is one of the best affiliate networks. It will be the best when the issue regarding “commission robberies†(changing of hoplinks) is resolved."
Why do you say this? Most of the products that you can promote on clickbank are related to people who have no idea what 'affiliate links' are. so how does the hop link robbery comes in? please advice
Too bad. I want to join the affilates of clickbanks and promote the products. But i was shocked how many people did not get sales. Moving out now/.
How can you be shocked by that estimate. That's actually better than I thought. I think most affiliates know that 95% of all affiliate marketers don't make any money or any money that's worth mentioning. That 95% was estimated about 10 years ago, by now it's probably closer to 99% with the inflation of people getting into the affiliate marketing scene. That was one of the first things I learned when I became an affiliate marketer. So it should come to no surprise to anyone that most Clickbank affiliates can't make money. Any affiliate program that you join is going to have around the same figures, if not worse.
So, what aff program will make some cash then? Some people claimed that they've earned much cash from aff progr. and start selling their secret. I've tried some, but none suit for me (still can't make money from them). Or something is wrong, maybe..
1,100 people make enough money from clickbank to live on. I think thats pretty good! Dont frotget that the number of "all affiliates" also includes people who only register to buy a product and get a 75% of the price back. They wont get their money anyways because of the CDR rules but they dont know that.
Don't forget also that many people may sign up but never make any effort to make any money....or simply don't know how.
Its because 99.99% of clickbank products are junks, scams and these people who makes sales on CB are spammers who manage a sale every 3 months.
Enough to make a living -- that depends on where you live.. definitely we're looking at something like $x,xxxx. There is one simple reason of why most affiliates that aren't making any sales -- They don't understand how Clickbank works. They don't set up the right landing pages, they don't know how to promote clickbank products and they surely don't even have an affiliate mindset. Investing a couple hundreds $$ in one campaign might seem a lot of money for many people.. Trials and errors is what affiliate marketing is all about. It can be frustrating however if you get the hang of a few profitable products to promote then you're ready to make a few hundreds of sales each month through different marketing methods... 200/300 sales each month = at least $4000 (4 times an average wage in the U.S) .. It does take time though.. one might spend one a few months to start earning $4000 each month with clickbank and for some it make take years... (if they don't give up) I've started earning with clickbank only since I've started investing time (research) and money ..
In fact I think this is a good news for affiliate marketers. The more newbies are scared about this fact and don't get into CB, the less competitors I will have
Hmm, let's think It says "we've paid our clients on time for 10 years", then the counter displays $1.2 billion. That averages 120 million dollars per year but let's say this has rocketed in the last year and total sales were 200 million dollars. Also let's say the average commission to the affiliates are %60, that leaves 120 million dollars to all the affiliates. I do not doubt that there are at least 1 million affiliates in ClickBank. So this leaves us with an expected 120 dollar per year earning per affiliate... When you wanna enter ClickBank, keep in mind that you are expected to make only 120 dollars in CB per year unless you make a difference. Nothing is easy.
It doesn't take much to get a clickbank account. However it takes a lot more to use it. You find a product you can promote you can make money. But how many active clickbank affiliates were you expecting.
powfada, You wrote "Why do you say this? Are you suggesting that it is profitable to promote stuffs to those ignorance of ClickBank? Are you just assuming or that you are already making money from ClickBank?
