Hi!, I avoid like the plague most of the High Gravity products! So many are flogging them and you only have to look at the refund rate at times to get a fair gauge at a losing campaign! I try for Gravity of 60 - 100. Not too many affiliates and not too dead as far as products go! Some people swear that jumping on the top new products are the way to go but the danger is they haven't been market tested and a lot of them are absolute filler! Cheers, Dave.
I think good gravity is good as long as it's natural. If you go up to 300 gravity in your first week, than I'd avoid it.
I tend to jump on the high gravity products that have been working for awhile. High gravity trends are great for business - High gravity fads can mean the end of your campaign. You just have to know between the two
Some of the really high gravity products are so market saturated that I side-step them deliberately. But I will take your advice on High gravity trends! Thanks! Dave.
It's never too saturated if you know what you're doing. It can be way harder though. 40 to 100 is good.
If the gravity is high, it means many affiliate are promoting the product. If some many people are promoting, then there is probably a good reason for that. (they are making money )
I don't really worry too much about gravity when promoting products --- I find that some very low gravity products convert really well - it's either just a small niche market or for some reason other affiliates haven't found the product yet. I do sometimes avoid really high gravity products though - just as the competition is too insane. Plus most of the really high gravity products are in markets I don't like (like IM)
Hi There, It would seem that there are many variations on personal preferences when it comes to choosing a ClickBank product to market. And that is my point here! Surely a lot of weight in making a decision should rest on the area or areas that you tend to market in. For instance, I know and use many systems effectively that give results in money making ventures or traffic related products, but I wouldn't know where to start if I wanted to get involved in marketing pet foods, health products, consumables etc. Should this not be a main variable that we take into consideration when we are making our choice of product/program? Kind Regards Clive Anderson
Yes Clive, The #1 thing I look for now are products that I can easily promote because they fit in with my websites themes or because they are things I can write about easily.
Thanks for all your comments everyone! I have a Money Making Website so I have no shortage of products which I can promote on line. I use some discernment to screen out many of them and I often find that some of the really big sellers have high refund rates so they aren't always the best choice even though many are promoting them! Cheers, Dave.
