Okay guys, keep your fingers crossed for me! I've been building my subscriber list on my files searching website for about 2 months now and have collected about 700 double opt-in members. I've just sent my first mass e-mailing to them recommending some other download sites - all sites Im promoting thru Clickbank. If only 1% of people buy something I should make between $200-$300 of profit from this e-mail campaign. I'm hoping more for 5% to buy (since its all targeted traffic) and that would be about $1000 This is my 1st attempt at marketing to my list, and Im nervous. I also set this same marketing e-mail to auto-send itself to new members after 5 days. Any tips would be appreciated on e-mail marketing, and I'll be sure to post back here with my results! I guess any sales at all will just be gravy since I spent $0 on the leads Thanks guys!
Good luck mate. I promote new clickbank products via my site (2500+ RSS/e-mail subscribers) at times, and while 5% is too high of a figure from my experience, you can expect a 1% success rate. Let us know how it went! P.S. How much do you earn from each sold product?
Email campaigns will work best if you follow the time tested method. First, you send your list some tips or something free. In your case, maybe some good "free" download sites. It doesn't even need to be the same type of site. For example you could tell them to check out the free movie download site www.WizMovies.com. This is totally free and they will be able to get some cool movies. do this a couple of times. After you build that trust, Then you email them with a "this one is not free but it is really worth it" email and you will see your conversion rate triple. Hope this helps and good luck.
Keep us updated dude! Just yesterday i was reading about how Mike Filsaime made over 1 Million Dollars in 24 hours by shooting a single email to his list of 300,000 subscribers!
Update: Okay, no sales yet but at least people are reading it and clicking! I dont know if these stats are good or not lol.
Hi there, Is this the first time you have emailed them at all, or just the first time you pitched to them? You'll usually find that you want to regularly contact them, even if it's just to give them some free info or advice or whatever. Until they are used to your list, you may find only contacting them sporadically will just lead to lots of unsubscribers and spam complaints, and it will drastically reduce your sales % as you won't have built their trust. Hope that's useful, just keep plugging away. The hardest part is building the list. My 2 cents
I agree with the_writer. Going straight to the sale can reduce your open rate and conversion ratio. Develop trust, show them that opening your emails will give them something, and then go for the sale. Keep us updated. Good luck, nadavs
