It seems like we are all sharing our common sense Clickbank tips with each other, but clearly have some more valuable "tricks-of-the-trade" that we can't share for fear of losing our competitive edge. There are many, many ideas that I see not being discussed here. Is it because we're being protective of our competitive edge, or do you guys truly share your arsenal with the rest? I just started Clickbank on November 2nd, but am already averaging around $100 gross, $60 net, and my best day was $269 gross, and around $215 net. I think I'm only doing a few things differently that are boosting my conversions, but my thought process is that it would be suicide to share these strategies in a forum. Just like you guys, I'll share my common sense knowledge (and even some cool semi-valuable strategies), but fear to share much more. For those of you that buy products like Google Assassin, etc, how can you actually believe someone with a profitable system will sell it to the masses? That never makes economic sense, and someone as savvy as those big guys, know better than to put their sharpest sword into an assembly-line.
I don't see too many people around here holding back valuable tips for success, as much as really specific methods for specific products. For instance, I could state that one of the best things I've done with Clickbank this year (resulting in around $5,000 in sales so far - true story) is an ad campaign on Adwords with 10 adgroups who have 4 keywords per group on average for which I pay around $0.10-$0.20/click and on average make about 160-170% ROI over 10 months.... and recommend that as a good strategy, but it will totally depend on the product... I think you really only risk "marketing suicide" when you give out both your niche/product AND your specific, optimized tactics for selling well in that niche (best converting keywords, ad strategies to use, demographics/pages to target, ad & landing page text/style/etc) for it, as those are really the two key ingredients. I don't even mind giving out very specific keyword optimization, landing page, or other advice as well because it's not a 'blueprint for success' as much as it is knowledge and understanding about the process as a whole... if someone can take the advice I give and go and make a totally profitable campaign with it, so much the better, as it means they have learned about marketing, and I have been successful in helping someone else learn. -T
